Hopefully its a beautiful mixed rendition of portal and HF..i mean..the ending of Portal would set it up perfect really..

and HL2 is so addicting. Just has that story line that you can't stop playing..haha and good game play. Plus there is like..4 HL2s..well..3..

 

Blizzard kinda did that with Diablo3 (pc) and it was kind of the case with Portal2...
And yea, they did do a great job of leaving the ending of P2 very open... I guess one can only hope...

plus..the gravity gun with the portal gun..can you imagine?

Idk if Id want to go there... I think itd be interesting to bridge the gap between P2 and HL1...

well rumor has it that GLaDOS would be an effective weapon against the Combine.
plus, (i havent playd thru HL2 yet so not sure if it comes up...) what about the Borealis?

 

Thats the ship that wrecks right? or Black Mesa? which is NEVER cleared up in HL2..

Glados isn't mentioned either..not that i remember..been a while..might have to replay them all again..i just did both portals again like in Nov..

Borealis..what is that again..i know it..just can't put my finger on it..

 

The Combine are the invaiders caused by the Black Mesa Incident, and from what I can tell, the main badguys in HL2.
The Borealis is the ship that "disappeared" from Aperature Labs. You end up finding the old damaged drydock. The Borealis is supposadly carying some super advanced and amazing portal technology

Yes Combine and zombies are the main enemies in HL2.

so..maybe they have been playing it all out in the long run..amazes me how they think of the story like that and implement it over such a long period of time..

It is deffinatly impressive. But not hard to do if you leave the ending as open as a barn door... (P1&2...)

I think itd be cool if the Borealis showd up carrying a version of GLaDOS, and you had to fight to reactivate and drive back the Combine/Zombie hordes...

 

well would make sense is that the Combine found the Portal tech on there..the portal gun basically..thus the successful invasion.

Then you can to go and find Glados..you get a portal gun in the process...or..who knows..

probably something along lines of that sort.


and idk..P1&2 have lots of small subtle..yet very clever..hints on HL in them..the whole story just interweaves so well..its very clever.

 

The invasion success was due to the Black Mesa Incident; a catastrophic failure in Black Mesa's teleporter, allowing the invasion.

They should do something that ties the two together.

 

maybe next will be flash backs?..like makes ya wonder where in the time line Portal is with HL...is it before or after? ..

 

Portal1 is before, leading up to, and i believe is supposed to overlap a little into the invasion. GLaDOS talks bout how the world has changed at the end of the storyline.
I think Portal2 is right before HL2's timeline.
I want to say P1 and HL1 are somewhat parallel, but I havent playd HL1

 

mmm.. i think P2 is parallel with HL2..or slightly after..

i can barely remember HL1...so can't say where it goes..

definitely before HL2 is P1 though..

It is really hard to tell. Theres so many crossover references, but the plots are completely different...

Maybe that's why it's taking so long. They can't think of a good way to end it.

Not immediately..but they should at least release a new game that show how they tie together..HL3 basically..then they can finish it from there...something! haha

 

Well would it be HL3 or P3...?
Thatd be a cool co-op. One person as Freeman w/all his weapons, the other as Chelle w/just the portal gun...

 

THAT would be interesting! haha Cause i mean..Chelle just gets put up on the surface..should still have her gravity boots too..so..why not?

Needs to find someone anyways after that..i don't see how Portal can contiune without Chelle really..so has to be some sort of interaction there..

H3 could be about the hunt for the rest of the Borealis and at the end they find Chelle..
