Hey hate to jack your thread but on that note does anyone know how much it would cost to have one powdercoated?

or that too. But i would think that would be way more espensive. I wouldnt bother but i really dont think i could come close to matching the bsp with any spray paint. And i def dont want it to look tacky

i just want to know how much approximately it would be to color match the surrounding paint around the grille. Like i said i bought a grey grille surround, and i want it bsp. ranger suggested powdercoat, but i dont believe that would match well but idk

im kind of skeptical about painting my own parts especially how much the grille surround gets abused on the highway. Anyone had it painted and know how much it was??

Thanks for the suggestion though, i will definately check into it

yeah man. what type of paint did you use, and where did you get it. I guess im leaning towards that since nobody knows how expensive it would be. But yeah ive actually seen a few tw bumper stickers around town also.

I have not ventured to re-paint the red part since mine was color-matched already (TRD Sport) but the black I used my leftover Krylon Fusion from blacking out the badges. 3 coats of black, 3 coats of clear and then I let it sit for probably 18 hours to fully dry. I painted the steel mesh part as well and it hasn't chipped the paint at all.

For any Jacksonville guys, if you want some steel mesh the size of mine, I have a good bit left over. It's getting a little surface rust, but nothing that can't be sanded!

Oh, and my TW sticker still hasn't arrived :( It's been like 3 weeks to a month, but I'll keep waiting!

The most it could be is about $80-$100

Mine is color matched too. I have a trd sport also, but i was too big of a pussy to cut my own grille so i bought one off of here and was anticipating making that into a satoshi and keeping the stock bsp one also as a spare or incase i sell ( not really a chance of that )

If you want quality work, try O'steen off Atlantic Blvd., though I'm sure they're more expensive. I might ride over there tomorrow... I'll let you know if I do.

Well I wanted to just get an estimate for how much they would charge to smooth out my grille surround (I didn't do the best job sanding it) and then giving it a great coat of paint/clear. I also want to get an estimate on painting my hood scoop black. Just shopping around :)

Damn wish I knew that I just bought some mesh today. I think I'm going to start on mine tommarow. Still dont really know how I'm goin to do it though. I might do a mix between a Jamoshi and a satochi..... I guess I'll figure it out as I go....
