freedom of speech...however much I may disagree with him.

 

If you read the rest of the quote, he actually expanded on what the news is putting out there.

It makes sense with the entire quote. Imagine that, the media only using parts of the quote.

Let's put aside he's an actor, and this whole thing is probably a publicity stunt.
He's not a 5 y/o kid. You're free to say whatever you want, and he did. Just because you are free to say whatever you want, doesn't mean there aren't consequences.

 

I personally feel like what he said was nothing wrong. However...I have realized you cannot voice your opinion or beliefs unfortunately anymore in this world. Seems like everything is either labeled racist or unfair. Whatever happened to America??

 

Freedom speech only works for those who are considered "minority"

Or famous actors/actresses with no religious beliefs.

Im glad we live in a country where our freedoms are so blatant!

With that being said, I totally agree with SpeedoJosh. Im sure the Robersons will be just fine. They are going to have to deal with whatever consequences arise from his freedom's.

 

Whether we agree with what he said (or is implied that he said) is not the issue for me. What gets me is that you say something, for instance that "gay is wrong", you get fired because you offend gays, but if you say "gay is okay", nothing happens, even though you offend those who promote straight. Same for all similar conservative vs liberal topics, belief topics etc. Why does it work only one way?

Freedom of speech defiantly and I 100 percent agree with but the thing is he's basically employed and the channel A and E so whatever he says kinda goes thru them too and makes them take action

 

Intolerance

 

I've been trying to stay out of arguments and debates about this, but the thing that really gets me is how someone can be "For Gay marriage" and not "offend" anybody, but if somebody says that they are "For Traditional marriage" the whole world gets turned upside-down.
