What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

waiting on the 95-97 corner lights and bumper fillers to complete it.

What all was needed? Just the grille, headlights, and corners? My front end is the only style I don't like... haha. I want to go 01-04 because I used to have a 96

You need: grille, headlight assemblies, headlight mounting brackets, headlight retaining rings, corner lights, bumper fillers and all the various screws, clips, etc

You might find a way to circumvent some of those parts, but that's the best way Monte and I could come up with.

 

anyone have a wiring diagram for the steering column and the driver side of the dash. I went wheeling Saturday and now my cluster is freaking out, my alarm isn't working right and when I turn on my left hand turn signal it smells like burning wires.

 

So I am working on the design phase of my dual battery set up. I have a red and yellow Optima battery pair. I am still undecided on a location, so I thought I would hit you all up for opinions. I am looking at either under the hood on the passenger's side, near the firewall, or inside the tool box in my bed. I am open to other ideas, as long as they are SAFE. (i.e. nothing outside the frame rails where it can be damaged by a small accident) Any thoughts?

Yeah, that is one of the locations I have under review. That is right by the firewall on the passenger's side. Thanks.

Yeah I knew that the whole time. There's no way you'd let them anywhere near the grass.

 

It was about 15 degrees and just starting to snow when I was painting them. A UPS guy shows up and starts talking to me about how it's not proper painting conditions... he was a model car builder.

I tried explaining to him, in two sentences or less, the joke I'm playing on TW.

He didn't get it.

 

I'm happy with mine on the passenger side. But it's tight for sure.

Idk if your worried about efficiency then putting it in the bed isn't ideal to keep it charged. But it still works fine.

Lost my brake fluid cap mobbing holy jim today This was its replacement

 

So I cancelled my Relentless bumper since it didn't ship when it was supposed to and I wont have access to a welder or time to weld it for a few months after my week off. Looking at either buying the trail gear low pro or a plate bumper from a local jeep shop. The plate is actually cheaper and is pretty badass but he hasn't made one for a Tacoma before. What do you guys think? I'm leaning towards the plate. He is a vendor on Cherokee forum and I was thinking about trying to get him on here when I talk to him again.

I think I will actually go this route and I've already been talking with him. It'll be different than what most people have on here. Was considering the TG one because they are having a 10% off everything sale
