My problem is scrolling through the 2nd Gen Builds, Classifieds and Vendor's sections. The eye is bigger than the wallet.

    Bone stock for now....
Lot of peeps roll with shorter aftermarket antennas or trim down the stocker as well as trimming the excessively long mud flaps, especially the fronts. I switched over to Weathertech flaps and found a shorter stock looking antenna on ebay.

Nice Tacoma Baja. I really like the black on black but there wasn't any in my region when I bought mine last June. It's Barcelona Red, only had four miles on it and a week old from production date when I picked it up out in Holidaysburg, Pa.. really wanted the 6 speed but my wife drives it more then I do so went with auto.

I've been slowly adding stuff like in channel ventshades, hitch step and Go Rhino Dominator II stainless steel step bars. Sorry, not trying to hijack your thread, not may Baja's on here and no Baja specific thread. (I know there's a T/X Pro thread) lol.

Nothing wrong with Barcelona Red Baja!

Or Todd's black for that matter.

On the mud flaps I made the mistake of taking them off my Off Road Xterra. Beat the hell out of the rocker panels and covered my off road trailer in what ever I was traveling in. Short flap doesn't help IMO. I went hybrid instead to keep coverage and protection with modified Weathertech and fiberglass.

And had Adam at 4xInnovations add expanded steel to the sliders to also help with gravel thrown up by the tires.

If you go to your Fav O Rite music bar and pull off a 4 lane to get to it may not apply to you. But if you spend time on dirt roads you know what I mean.

I've been planning on modifying my mud flaps like that. Are those made that way or did you modify them? I've almost ripped my mud flaps of plenty of times. Oh yeah, the other addition I've done is add weather tech floor mats. I really want to get a good set of seat covers, I have a two year old. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the light grey interior. Would much rather have black or dark grey. Looking for a cap too, what cap do you have on yours?

If you are worried about scratching your truck get a quad to use for hunting. I use my quad for hairy off roading more than I use my truck.

I modified them using plastic rivets. Was concerned about cutting the OEM and wasn't sure that the plastic rivets would work but so far they have worked well with the Weather Tech flaps that I cut 2" down from the curve out. Yep Weather Tech floor mats are great, mine are covered in white from all the salt. LOL 14 below zero this morning when I went to work and it isn't getting better anytime soon, they will stay that way for a few more months.

I picked up a set of Wet Oakies on the last Group Buy with heated seat option. Well worth it IMO!! I'm used to grey so doesn't bother me but you can spruce it up a lot with custom colors on the WO covers. Keep an eye out on the group buy section, well worth it.

Cap is a A.R.E. MX and I've had toppers for years on all my trucks. I got the windoors which are great and carpeting with double lights. They asked about power lock on the lift glass when I bought it which caught me off guard so I said no. Mistake, I will go back soon and have it installed and tied into the Viper remote starter and alarm that I also have.

Only complaint that I have is with the topper and sliders the ass end is starting to drop already. I love the Baja Suspension it is the best handling truck that I have ever owned. And I've owned a lot of them since the 70's. Going to have to install a leaf pack on the rear and want to keep the handling that I have. Once I add a sleeping platform with slide outs in the bed I know she will start to really drop so need to take care of the saggy butt first. No regrets, best rig that I have ever owned. I hope we all get 20 or more years out of our Baja's!

Cool, thanks for the advice. I haul and tow my 14" utility trailer a lot so I may look into getting a helper airbag setup. I don't go offroading with the Baja much at all (family rig) I have a lifted '03 Sport Trac (soon to be SAS'd with 37's), that's my trail rig/ daily driver.
    Both seen here...

About 20-25 years ago because of the ATV's the Forrest Service shutdown many roads all over the country to all vehicles. So I am biased because of lost of access roads, but understand what you are saying. I mainly bird hunt anymore but still mentor some in bovine hunting. Most of my hunting is driving back deep into the woods off a logging spur then walking with the dog.

Regularly I see some guy in his 30's weighing about 300 pounds blow by me with an ATV and a dog on a platform and gun in a scabbard ready to ground sluice grouse. Takes some will on my part to not stiff arm him, it is legal to bird hunt like that in Mn. Not saying you are like that at all and most hunters aren't. But there are a lot of them out there.

Best use of an ATV I have ever seen was last year outside the BWCA when I was getting ready to walk in a Forrest Service blocked logging road. Of course the ATV's had gone around the barrier and were driving in anyhow. But this guy went by on the main road with his ATV engine not running and letting the dogs pull it training the sled team:

Best use of a quad I have ever seen :)
