I'm thinking about ordering the V3 switchback and wanted to know if I need to order the reverse polarity base in addition to the V3 to install. There's a base that can be ordered with the lights and another reverse polarity base also. Just wanted to order everything so I'm not missing anything. Thanks in advance.

Nope, the kit is all inclusive with all adapters needed for plug and play---which makes it REALLY nice. Honestly, install is less than 15 mins...with the hardest part being buttoning up the extra slack on the harness, and mounting the small module boxes, and even then that's a cinch to do.

    I ordered the 5k kit: http://www.vleds.com/tacoma-v3-triton-white-amber-switchback-drl-turn-signals.html

Agree on the 5K, thats what I was running in my old M3 that I did a retrofit on. Any other color just looks wrong. !! I personally love the people running those super high K blue HIDs that have no output whatsoever....

Definite MPG increase felt and front end seems to even sit taller too. Damn magnets! ;)

Yeah I had a buddy that stuck an 10k HID kit in his Silverado (NO PROJECTORS) and I bet him it would take only a month before he got a fix it ticket.....it only took him 4 days LOL. I remember sitting in his truck telling him how crappy/ricey his beam output looked, and he didn't want to listen. Now he's running proper projectors and 4300k bulbs.

4300k/5k are the optimal ranges for HID's IMO.
