Have you heard any reason why? Also I was thinking to leave the front billies at 0 but do you think it will be ok? Any recommendations would help. I already have dakars in the rear so I'm hoping to make it as level as possible to the rear?

Might be because the coils are 7mm longer.

885x with 5100s and top plate spacer for full 3", RCD extended 5100s in rear, dakars, flip kit, LR UCAs, tint, shorty antenna, in channel rain guards,BHLM, blacked out emblem, OEM side steps, weathertechs, debadged, rear diff breather
You mean "taco lean" correct? D/S is a little lower than P/S.

Gotcha.....ya 886's was the right choice.
Sorry if I am misreading but are you asking its "ok" to leave the 5100s at the 0 setting when paired with the 886's? Because I have heard of people using the .85 setting when paired with 885s to get a full 3" but most tend to add the top plate spacer. You cannot set the 5100s any higher when used with OME coils. I haven't seen anyone use 886's with 5100s but maybe someone else can chime in that does.

I haven't got a definite answer from anyone whether the 886 will work. Since the 886 are 7mm longer than the 885 I'm not sure if I could set the 5100 at .85? I'll have to wait for others to chime in.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
I'd be hesitant to set them at .85 myself for a few reasons: I don't think the 886 will respond well pre-loaded (she's a beefy spring), the 5100's aren't specifically valved to operate with the 886 (sacrifice ride quality), and the resulting lift (IMO) would be pushing beyond 3" and that results in a whole slew of other issues. I have yet to come across anyone who has theirs set anywhere other than 0 with a coil installed other than oem or oem sport. I'm very interested myself to hear what the other members have to say.

I posted this on another thread, but id figure i get some ideas from here also...

Ok, I need help in purchasing my first ever set of wheels.

I have a LR UCAs and a 3" OME lift kit with a AAL in the rear sitting in my garage waiting to be installed.

This is the wheel I am planning to get:

    18" x 9"

At that size, it is available in a 0 offset and a 5" backspacing.

Does anyone know if I would have any issues with:

    265s or 285s?

Still havent decided on a tire size, just seeing what could be done.

    Please offer suggestions or ideas.

My plan is to leave the 5100 at 0 with the 886 if that's the route I go. I'll have to wait and see once I receive everything.

You can't safely stretch a 265 over a 9 inch rim. Some tire shops will do it, but you'll be literally stretching the sidewall, which is sketchy business, at best.

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
Do they make that model with 4.5" b.s. -12mm offset? You might be close to rubbing the UCA with 285s depending on the sidewall tread with 5" b.s.

Great alignment numbers Joe. Are you running 285s? I couldn't get the DBs at my alignment shop to see the light on my caster request with LR UCAs.
"Well we dial in all our customers at .75 to 1 deg if caster." LOL

Ok so of some 170 pages I've read 50 ish, gettin wrapped round an ome upgrade, i rock 08 DCLB sport trd, bone stock. Daily driven, light to med hauling and light wheeling for now.
    Looking at DSM ome kit:

    2885 Coils
    90000 Front Shocks
    Assembled
    CS047R x 2 Rear Leaf Springs
    60091 x 2 Rear Shocks or N182's what's the diff???
    OMEU53A x 4 U-Bolts
    FK29 x 1 Fit Kit

    Will also need:
    -Extended brake lines in rear
    -UCA's ( Tc,lr,icon or other)
    -trim packer
    -axle shims??? Or after install?
-spacers for full 3" do I need this on top of trim packer?
    -bushings for Dakars
-thinking of ordering bump stops at the same time, timbren maybe?

    Anything else?
Me, buddy mechanic n beer Installation followed by professional alignment, any recommendations in Vancouver bc?

Stiffer than stock especially unloaded , a million times better for loads

Get 1/4" top plate spacers for each side if you want a full 3"

You will want UCA's , I'm happy with my LR UCA's

Look at the Wheelers Superbumps instead of Timbrens

Check the Canada regional section , there is a Vancouver guys BS thread in there somewhere , ask them about shops

Finally got my lift on. Im running the 886 coils up front and dakars in the back, with the nitro sport shocks all around.

I was running the 886's with just a skid and sliders for 2 weeks, and though the ride was stiff, it was not intolerable. With the bumper on it ride likes a dream.

Got the superbumps in the rear and they are fantastic. Soon to have the superbumps in the front when I have a wrench big enough to take of the stock bumps :p.

All in all super super happy

so looking to get a new leaf pack.

currently running the Icon 3 leaf progressive pack. It's WAY too soft. flattening out and bottoming out.

am curious about the OME CS047R packs.

what exactly do they consist of?

on Wheelers' site, it doesnt give a number of leafs, how many inches of lift they yield, etc.

Im basically looking for something to get me level to 3" of lift up front and wont flatten/bottom out. the 1.5" Icon pack was good at that in the beginning.. but like stated before.. too soft.
