Not sure how up-to-date the info here is but it does mention "VW is in talks with Canadian and U.S. dealerships to introduce the pickup to the continent" And the page says it was last updated 20DEC2013(?). I'm still wishin' and hopin' and plannin' and dreamin'...:D

Bigger than a shortbed Tacoma, but not bigger than an Access Cab. I need a bed that's at least 6 feet long otherwise I can't fit the bikes if I have to have one of them serviced. Plus many other things that seem to be constantly filling the bed of my truck. If they're just barely fitting with a 6' bed then that works out to an extra trip with a 5' bed.
Long story short, I have no kids and few friends, so I need the extra bed space much more often than I need the extra cab space.

Arguing hypotheticals is always more fun anyway. I'll probably never fly in a P-38, but they're infinitely cooler than a P-51.

Shrug. Sorry. No does textings. Interwebstalk much confusion. Most difficult to reading.

Seriously, though, I spend a lot of time googling the abbreviations and acronyms that get tossed around on here.

Just a little trimming of the mount for the speaker basket. Oh, and quite a bit of pounding on the door panel to make some clearance for the bigger magnet. Got the passenger side done.

Started workin on the drivers side... The epoxy broke on my 6x9 so that fell out when I popped the panel off. That explains the rattle... Cut up my hand trying to get shit unplugged and gave up for the night. I don't want to pound on the door at night. Noise carries.

Lmao. Lots of grunting and strange positions... To get the plugs hooked back in.

Yeah, its a dual layer piece. I only dented the outside, I had my hand between the inside door and the window.

They just won't work now because I have the switch unplugged...

Only reason i asked is because i had a small clearance issue when i mounted my crossovers inside the door panel haha

Might have to trim the inside speaker grilles..... The passenger door panel doesn't look too great up close. Doesn't sit flat.

On my Colorado it was a bitch, but I got out of it with some 3M butyl rubber and just dropped them down towards the bottom of the door. Not sure what kind you had, but I had Powerbass which were rather bulky. Shortly after I found a set of JBL crossovers that were very slim and never gave me an issue.

Don't bother using the grille for the speakers..my advice ultimately would be to use a small shim similar to the ********* ones so you don't have to pound the door like that. Might have to custom cut out of some MDF but it's the best way to do it.

Yeah but it's a really tall speaker. So I have to pound the door AND trim the back side of the panel. Double whammy!

OK so the trimming maybe I get, but you should be able to get out of poundage..
