What has caused the frame to bend/stress on your Softopper?

What piece of tubing is bent exactly? Unsnap the cover and take a pic of the frame. Can damage from an 'outside' source be ruled out? ie: Drunk stumbling guy in parking lot. etc

honestly I would disassemble the frame and replace the frame (using the plastic pivoting points) if not mistaken I think they are riveted on .. you would even upgrade to a stronger tubing if needed...

If you are looking to put a RTT on there, you are going to be building your own frame/topper. To my knowledge, there isn't one made strong enough to support a carried load. You could build a rack over the topper to support the RTT tho. With an RTT on there, is there any benefit of having a temporary canopy vs a hard cap?

Can't get more rugged than fiberglass.

I had a soft top and was never really happy with it.

Then I got a Leer top and have never been happier.

I don't know but the best top I had a few years ago seemed pretty damn tough to me. I don't see how you could get a much more rugged fabric? Unless you designed the fabric and made it yourself?

Honestly if you really are not happy with the best top fabric then redo it yourself. There design of their top system seems like a very good system. Just go on a search for a better fabric. Once you have found some take your old top and the new fabric to a sewer and tell them to use that as a template to make a new one out of the new fabric. Then just use the old best top frame work for a new one.

Either that or you just need to learn the limits of a soft topper and not exceed them. Plus if you are rough on it just remember they are only fabric and don't expect a very long life out of them like 5 years or less.

I was happy till the window busted, then found it was bent... i really havent used it, on the side note exploring my ideas so a soft topper could accept a rtt as well

Killer Toy Tops is making one!
He is using my truck as a prototype for it. My truck will have an All Pro pack rack so it will be strong enough to support a tent, and there will be a soft top covering it up. It will basically be a soft topper with an all pro pack rack acting as the frame. It's gonna be awesome.
