Toyo MT have a super agressive look but are low miles and get noisy. If you still have the option to hold off on the kings, I would also. Assuming you want to get the most out of your DB, its the smart move. Icons & Kings are great as a direct replacement for the PC lift, but they still limit. Here is a link to a thread I started back when I was looking to make the changes I did. Even though I tried to get everything done right and do my homework from the start, I still ended up with some loss of travel, but not much. My truck does VERY well off and on road.

    ^^Good thread. Good read.

I'm cool with my DB lift. I'm 40, got kids, work 50 hrs a week, so Off Roading and shit only happens about once a year now (Annual Christmas tree run) SO.....my street bitch just needs an upgrade for 3 reasons:

    1. Blocks removed because of shit bouncy ride
    2. I need to pull this trailer i'm gettin soon
    3. And haul quads...they will be the off road toys..not the truck.

So I guess fuck it...new spring pack and shocks (U-bolt flip???) that will be worry free (just in case I flex this truck out...those malls at christmas time can get brutal for parking).

So I need something like this in your pics?

Those Icon 2.0 run about 300 for the set and are 100% rebuildable and plenty for what I do. That is my custom leaf pack and I opted not to flip because all it really does is save the bolts from taking a hit. I'm yet to hang them up and not to mention ubolts are cheap to fix if I break one. I have also upgraded all of my lines to steel since that picture.
Do you need to do the lines, no
Do you need to do the flip, no
The custom pack, yes and spend the $ on a good rebuildable shock. Keep the ones you have on their now to install as temps if you do go that route and need to send them out to be rebuilt (unless you can do it on your own)
My set up cost under 1200 for the rear and I did the work with help from a close friend and fellow Taco fanatic.

Cool man. I appreciate the help.

No brake lines and no flip kit then.
    Just spring pack and shocks.

After reading thru that thread you had....that's EXACTLY what I wanted to do...6 YEARS AGO!

Never replaced all that stuff like I wanted (Divorce KILLED IT) and my bank account.

So now that I don't Off road pretty much anymore I just want to upgrade the rear for towing and ride quality.

I have the $$$ but I want to do it right and not buy major expensive shit that I won't ever utilize so it's a waste of $$$ that I can spend eleswhere.

The spring pack is just smart, blocks are not good for any application and I dont care if you just mall crawl. Sure, brodozers run cheap block lifts all day but it doesn't make it smart.
The brake lines was a good upgrade and will cost under 200, this is something that you may want to do along with a better pad if you are looking to tow some toys or camper.

I can deal with a little noise, no biggy! Very helpful thread, so I called today and they kinda messed my order up, but it could be a blessing in disguise. They only ordered the king coil overs and no rear shocks, so I was thinking instead of paying for expensive ass rear king shocks, I'll just purchase the leaf pack and the UCA's and LCA's, then I'll just run with the pro comp rear shocks for the time being and once the leafs settle in I can replace them with kings.

Agreed, and you can get SS lines for like $100 for front/rear. OCTaco. Get rid of the stupid spacer brackets for your factory lines.

You can get the maxtrax steel brake lines that are +3" over stock for about 80$ or have them made for even less money. That may mean you need a donor pair of factory ones for the fittings though. Yes, you will need to remove that extension piece that is attached to the frame and stretch the coiled up line a little. This is where a you must be careful and use the right tools for the job like a line wrench and line bender. I can snap a picture of mine if you need reference.
Going to tear off my flares this weekend and lube up my lowers along with inspecting some hits I took on the rocks.
