    :brianr: lol

I can't afford the 5k for the S/C and sure as hell couldn't afford to rip with it! Prem gas and my heavy foot would drain my wallet!

    what mods do u have?
    hilly area?
    lots of city driving?

If I ran the tank dry I can easily do better than 340 as I sit....But I never run past 1/4 tank unless its a rare occasion.

    it probably helps some

I use my GPS for MPG since its more accurate than the odometer, not sure if they all have it but mines a Garmin

    I believe it

    :jellydance:

I stay out of it for the most part. It is fun when dicking around though, such as yesterday with snow in the parking lot.

The 5050's work perfect. That's what I had back there to begin with. I went with the 3528 because they were so cheap and I wanted to see if there was a difference. Honestly.....not a whole lot of difference at all. The 3528's put out a perfect amount of light so my gamble paid off.

I love the remote. It works from a helluva long ways away. Putting this strip in yesterday took all of about 5 minutes. I did already have the wires ran from (from battery to rear of truck) before because I ripped out the old set from under bed rails. Running the wires from the battery to the rear end took about 15 to 20 minutes.

I don't have a build page (never will) but I have a little writeup on my led installs:

I have those same ones. Didn't like how low they came off the truck so I bought a new bracket kit for 30 bucks to mount them almost even with the cab of the truck. I think they went to a step bar originally.

Yes, there is a difference in brightness. From the tubes:

The 3528 SMD is a single-chip medium-output LED. The 5050 SMD is a larger, three-chip high-output LED that has approximately 3X the brightness of the 3528.

I just decided to use my head and google it myself. Should have done that instead of posting. Thanks for getting back to me

Took the trailer for the first test ride after installing the Timbren rear bumpstops. Did well. Straight hitch, no WDH, no sway control bars. I'm in Nevada right now, it was a windy day, had stiff crosswinds on I-15 maybe 30-35 mph. Did well.

These Timbrens have no "give" to them, no cushion (but I did buy the 6000lb version rather than the 3000lb version, maybe should have got the 3k), but they're a lot better than having nothing but stock 4-leaf springs.

I like the "Sunday Driver" in your sig. I've had a couple of those VW buses. Both Kombi's though. A 1968 and a 1967. Great offroad campers. Short front and rear porch, great ground clearance.

I was going to suggest that to you yesterday (or whenever you posted your mount picture) but thought it might work out for you with the PC on. Now I wish I would have

Nice. They were some dynamite little offroaders. Maybe the front porch wasn't as short as my memory . My '67 had all the bells and whistles, a Southwind heater that ran off the gas tank, the straight popup, split front windows that opened up.

I liked the '67 model because of the air intake just above the windshield, that thing would pump air in almost like air conditioning, had a valve overhead which could be used to shunt the forced air either to each side of the front passengers, just to the rear, or both.
