What do you use to get your badges back on??Need help asap!!

I removed my badges yesterday and painted them. that was a breeze. i didnt even think about it but all the adhesive came off the back of the badges when i removed them. What did you use to get them back on the truck or what can i use. 3m double side tape i could use but there will be alot of trimming w/ an exacto knife and i dont wanna F up the paint. Any ideas???HELP

I would use 3m double side tape. Trace the letters onto a length of tape and cut them out before sticking them to the badges.

 

i thought about this but the letters are to big for the tape, looks like a night of a S%@* load of cutting

I used 3M emblem adhesive from Autozone. It seemed to work well. I still need to get some of the extra off from around the edges, but the badges are on there for sure.

 

was it a spray adhesive????

 

can you use spray adhesive? that would be really easy

the emblem adhesive is in a tube, the stuff I have you have to apply it to the badges, stick it to the truck, pull it apart to activate it, then push back into place...kind of messy if you ask me. So I left the badges off

 

Use the 3m double sided tape. What you do is cut a piece lets say 6". Then cut that piece straight down the middle. So now you have 2 6" pieces. Then take the red tape off and cut pieces that fit on the back and press them on. That way you dont have any poking out when its on the truck. Should only take like 30 minutes. I tried the glue on my buddys car and it is too messy. that stuff is junk.

I got the 1/2" one. If you get the wider one and cut it in half i think it will still be too wide.

 

I just took off my emblems today hair dryer & fishing line works great then clean up adhesive with goo gone. Easy mod & looks much better in my opinion.

 

yeah i just got home from autozone, i got the 1/2 inch. time to have fun try to get it done before dark

 

Just take your time. And if when you put them on and there are some tiny pieces you can see, just take a razor and push them down. But If you do it good you shouldnt have any.
