Blinker to Running light Mod HELP

I want to make my blinkers running lights as well.. can anyone help me find a write up on this for first gens??? Thanks!

 

i have my blinkers already re located to the corner lens, i just want my blinkers to act as parking lights when i have the switch turned on. What do i need to do?

 

What? Why? if you just relocated them you should still have the stock marker/parking lights in there anyways..

 

He might be saying he put the blinkers in the marker light spot so now he has no marker lights?

 

They don't fit there.

To move the blinkers there you have to cut a big hole for them to fit. And since he is an 04, he has to cut the mount off the blinker housing and silicon it to the marker housing and then put the bulb in it.

I used these instructions to do mine, which I THINK operate the way you want, OP.

 

Big Dawg, I did a mod a few years ago on my 03 access cab. Where you run a wire from the hot side of the front corner light down to the blinker & use the open third connector to make it come on when you turn on the parking lights on and yet it still remains a turn signal. I want to do the mod to this truck now..
this is funny because i have been looking for hours to find that thread....

Your mod page comes up on any search that i have done.. Your Famous!..... I think the green is hot???? on the corner. So he can use it as a running light... I use mine as DayTime running lights.

 

Haha sorry for all the confusion guys! But yea I did what gman said, all that I wanted was for my corner markers to be brighter. And the little baby marker lights weren't doing it for me.

This is what i wanted, Its alot brighter than just the little corner bulbs

 

Here is mine, I have the corner parking lights wired to the turn signals. When parking lights are turned on, the turn sigs light up also but still act as my turn sigs...

 

Yeah mine too! My turn sigs are just up in the corner markers

 

I think I F***** up. i thought it would be a good idea to not only wire some halogen fogs to the hot wire on my running lights, but to put a 20 amp fuse in replacement of a 15 that blew because of the fogs using so much power. Now, when i have my running lights on, (keep in mind i took the fogs out and put the right fuse in) and i go to left turn signal with my foot on the brake, my reverse light in my tail lights comes on, ON BOTH TAIL LIGHTS, and flashes, looking like my hazards are on. if anyone can help i would appreciate it, cause i haven't been using my blinkers sense i found out. Could it be a relay? or do you think my wiring is melted?

 

no i put aftermarket fogs from pep boys in my grille.

 

Is this what you're going for? I made a larger hole in mine to fit a dual filament bulb so I have both corner and turn signals. No silicone either.

 

yeah it wasnt hard at all. but does anyone know whats going on with my blinkers?
