Was just wondering if y'all could lend some help/info. My air/heat won't start blowing out until I switch it to high. From off to the level right before high nothing will even try to come out nor does it sound like something comes out.. Just wondering what's going on, help!!

Probably the blower motor resistor. Do a search for it on this site and you will find some info.

Just tap it with a flashlight ... that will more than likely get the motor running in low

First rule of troubleshooting - try the easy fix

Take out the cabin air filter and look for debris

Tap the blower motor gently to see if the lower speeds work

If that fails then break out the multimeter

I just had the same problem it was the blower motor resistor. I took mine to my mechanic and he took care of it and it works like a charm now. Apparently there is a service bulletin issued for that part.

Mine did the same, it was the resistor. The part was $40 at the dealer, (here's a picture) the newer resistor is updated. Easy diy fix, maybe 10 minutes. Part number Toyota 8713804052

Is there a DIY for replacing this? Or do I set up an appointment at the dealer and just let them do it ?

This is a diy post on how I fixed mine. It is very easy:

"yes this fixed my problem perfectly. It happened on any setting on mine as well. the part cost me $51 and the part number was 87138-04050. I ended up just ordering it from my dealership because none of the car parts stores in my city had it in stock. i dont have my truck with me right now but the resistor is very easily found just by lying on your back in the passenger seat floor and looking up. its held in place by two bolts and you will be able to recognize the plastic bracket its on once you have the new part. Very easy to replace took a total of 2 minutes"

I would order the part from a Toyota Dealer.

I had a similar occurrence, went through all the resistor changes and almost a blower motor. It turned out to be a shorted wire within the wiring harness, very strange, but worth mentioning.
