Something like an ARB fridge (which can be used on either one) fans, etc. Could get fancy and have a toaster or slow cooker to have some occasional good dinners on longer trips.

Every time I went camping when I was younger, it never seemed like we had enough power outlets. Now that I look back I can't remember what we used them for though... Haha

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.

all fridges worth a damn are already 12v..

    can get 12v fans..

For the toaster..an extension cord? haha

I mean, yea putting an inverter back there isn't that hard. So totally do able. Just to me doesn't seem worth it for the use you'd get.

No less worth it than what you have I would think? Haha

Just seems simpler to me in the long run to have stuff that I can use when camping as well as use while at home.

Nah i use my 12v oulet for the cooler all the time. And eventually a 12v heating pad.

Everything i use at "home" while on the trail, which is just phone, camera battery charger and ipad for music, charges in the the truck.

Whole point is to get away from home...so..i can't think of anything else id need to run while parked that i can have running while im driving..

Only thing i can think of is a grinder/cut off wheel and for that..ill just run an extension chord from the inverter in the truck.

not to mention, for a toaster/oven thing..you'll need like a 3000+ watt inverter which is HUGE in size not just power so be a bit odd to mount so its out of the way.

They both have essentially the same uses then I guess haha

Does a grinder use less juice than a toaster?

Haha yeah, that was just something the guy added for himself.

I think that will be what I use as my accessory wire to tell the lights in my switches when to turn on!

well since you upping it to 120v the inverter ends up pulling a lot.

But the cig lighter in the bed is a 12v plug, which is what i have..and a few others i think.

I ran a angle grinder off a 2nd gens stock 400w inverter to cut up my bed rack after i floped the truck. Barely did it..but it did. i have a 600w one so i know it'll do some cutting, just will take a while.

Mine leaked right out the end. The OEM clamp wasn't holding much anymore. They aren't torn so I slid them down and hose clamped them. No leak now.
