No really... I want to know why you needed four Tacoma's but yet they are great trucks?

I see your in the union so I know your not that old. A Tacoma should last 20 years if it's truly a good truck. My Ford Explorer is 18 and kicking strong still.

So by my math if I take 4 trucks x 20 years your 80 years old now

Well Slovakia now since Chech and Slovakia split up. but 1.9L TDi are made there. Since than nothing but problems. This is not limited in US. Everybody in Europe had the same problems.

Go to TdiClub its there.. Search for Turbo problems.
The problem with oil supply line is common, its common in Europe too. After I sold my Tdi somebody came up with upgraded supply line.

Again are you telling me oil supply line is a maintenance item? Clearly you have no idea what you talking about. I bet you dont even know how it looks like...

Are you fucking retarded? What the hell are you talking about? What, unions didn't exist a 100 years ago? And you're commenting on people's intelligence.

My first 2 trucks I bought when I was younger and they were old with high mileage. 1st was an 80's 2wd. Traded it for a 93 4wd. After I was making good money I bought a new 2011 access cab off road manual. I decided I wanted a DCLB auto and sold the 11 privately at a profit and bought a 13.

But your right, they all broke down and they were all junk. You are the master.

No I used to got one. VW site is now updated It was their plant near Bratislava. Now appears thats where their Q7 is build with engines from Hungary... (LOL No wonder people complain about Q7 ... )
    :D
I just realized they don't even sell 1.9L Tdi anymore..
    2.0L, 140 hp, TDI® Clean Diesel engine, 6-speed manual transmission30/42 mpg
1.9 L was 110 HP and 39/49 MPG. After chip upgrade to 160 HP it actually was getting better mileage. If somebody drove that thing like a baby you could get 60MPG on highway easily.
Used to laugh at Prius Hybrids. If they still made those engines in Germany that would have been great car. I know people with 1999 VW Tdi and over million miles on them. But 1999 was last year of good Tdi. 2002 was last year Engine block was from forged steel.

Just that you said you didn't have any problems but I remembered you from that thread.

In that thread you were predicting doom and gloom for 2nd gens all rusting out starting any day now.

I just want to keep it real. You posted that your Toyotas have had zero problems, yet at another time, in another thread, you were adamant that the frames were timebombs.

I am not saying other trucks don't have issues. I bought the Tacoma because I thought that it was the long term most affordable, long term most reliable, and because the resale is legendary.

I love my truck, but I try to be realistic about it. If there are problems with Tacoma, I want to know about them and know how to prevent or overcome them.

See the link in my Sig for ideas on that.

*EDIT* I'm not sure if you've noticed but everything that I have said in the stupid thread has been sarcasm. I don't hold out a lot of hope for XXXX giving me a happy ending as sad as that is.

My Colorado ran good for 4 years, but I only put about 55k miles on it. Then with less than 65k miles started getting rust in the engine, rust coming out of oil dipstick, and throttling issues. I know they had a massive recall for heads wearing out, but mine was not a part of the recall list.

Traded that fool in real quick

I have no idea what it looks like nor do I care. Just playing a little role reversal with you. :)

    calm down

    take a deep breath

    read what I said again...

No one said anything about the lifespan of unions. I simply said I thought you were younger based on your Union status and I was right on.

You haven't owned a 05+ Tacoma for more than 3 years strait if my math is right. How would you know how one holds up? I get that you love your truck, but your assumptions of it holding together after 3 years of ownership is total speculation.

Concerning the truck you sold off...

    How was the blower motor?

Any clutch pedal squeeks that made you think it would suck to be "out in the mountains thousands of miles from now and have the clutch pedal brake on me and leave me stranded"?

Any "typical thump/bump when I stop and/or start to go" that's been happening "since around the time I bought it new"?

It's not safe to say the plastics are so crappy and low quality it had you "wondering if its the plastic starting to break down or something" while thinking "It seems weird to me though that this would happen to something not too old"?

I just want to be crystal clear we are talking about the same great Tacoma's you've owned?

    X2... :)

My Toyota had zero problems, Do you think what I posted in the photo is a problem or more of the issue? 10 years from now could be a problem, , but its not right now. Does that stops me from driving? Do I need to call AAA ? Now in 10 years I can post I have a hole in the frame. Right now I dont, In fact After I repainted my frame still looks like new.

Now going back to original topic. I had zero problems with my Tacoma. I take it over Colorado with diesel anyday. In Fact my 1gen got bought by Toyota due to frame issue. I would still bought that truck over Colorado or any domestic truck.
I also have 2 Toyota SUVs. I would take them over any Domestic any day.
I asked XXXX for 100 TSB's he cited since I know there are only two for my Truck. I also know that only few TSB's had been released for Tacoma in general. So his claim of 100's TSB's is just junk.
If he wants to buy Colorado fine, I owned all kinds of cars in my life. I worked on them too. I know quality when I see it. GM vehicles are particular junk.
