I was reading my owners manual and it says modifying the suspension or installing bigger tires will cause the ABS and other sensors to malfunction? Any truth to this based on your experience? I am planning on a 3" lift with 33's.

I don't see that being an issue. ABS is a wheel speed sensor, it measures differences in speed between wheels to determine whether or not to activate. Not sure what other sensors would be affected by lifting the truck.

In a sense yes , it can definitely effect your VSC system and cause the traction control system to kick on in corners

True statement above. These trucks are notorious for having VSC kick in right when it never should. I have almost crashed a handful of times because of it. I turn it off everytime I drive now.

Recalibrating the VSC ecu as shown in the pdf takes care of the traction control issue for most

    OK cool.

I was reading the earlier thread and it looks like people still have problems? Holding the vsc button doesn't turn it off completely? Thanks for the help.

When i lifted my 2010 (spindles and C/O's for 6" lift), i only had issues with the VSC, but there's a .pdf here to take to dealer or tech and have it re-calibrated.. really easy, no issues since.
