I just got a 2.7 access cab 4x4. Not too many around. Was told it was a regional thing. Who else has this setup?

Should of introduced myself since it was my first post. 51 year old from Indy. I have had Ford, Chevy and Nissan PU's over the years, plus a Toyota Celica. Rebuilt two Pontiac 455's for a 70 and 78 TA. This is my first 4x4.

I am Eric from North Carolina and I also have the 4 cyl 5 speed access cab tacoma. I actually had to order mine when I bought it, They did not have one on the lot and I told them that if I was going to buy a new truck and pay over $ 20,000 for it that I was going to get it exactly how I wanted it. I understand that they did not make a lot of these. Thanks.

My 1st gen Taco was a 2.7L 4X4. Awesome truck! Mine had to be ordered when I bought it in MA. I rarely saw one here as well.

5spd 2.7 4x4 here. Love my truck as it has done everything I have asked of it trouble free. I thought about it for a long time before I decided on the 2.7. My uses didn't justify getting the 4.0.

4banger Access Cab as well, great little trucks. They had 2 of the 2.7L access cabs on the lot when I bought mine in Fairbanks AK funny thing was it was the exact truck I had built on the Toyota website to order and they had it sitting there.

Add another one to the list! Started out with a 1st gen reg cab 2.7, then moved up to the 2nd gen access cab! Love these motors!

Man I'm sorry to see this! I love that color!
Did you have a lift or anything on this truck? What size tires were you running?

    Thanks!

I have a 2013 4 Cyl Single cab 4X4. I love it but I can't seem to find any performance parts for it. I can't find specs beyond the owners manual and that is currently a few states away. So far everything is still factory except I just put bucket seats. Do ya'll have any suggestions for where to find a turbo?

I think URD makes one for the 2.7.

    Here it is.

I have one that I beat (not intentionally, but sometime, it happens) on at work every day. If I didn't tow my travel trailer with it in the Summer, I'd get another new one. I'll likely get a V6 in the spring, even though it isn't as stout a motor...

I have a 14 4x4 SR5 2.7 Access Cab with a manual I just took delivery on last night. I really didnt want to deal with the reduced mileage from the v6, and theres nothing I want to do with the truck that the 4-cylinder couldn't handle. There were a few to choose from in dealer trade here in KY.

2013 Access Cab 4x4, 2.7L. SR5 here. Have 4100 miles on the ODO and next month plan first oil change and have the valve springs recall addressed by the dealer.

I really like the truck so far!
