X2 on the sliders that Rob said. The only door dings I get are the sound of some jackass swinging their door into my sliders. A very loud "DING" is heard. It's usually followed by "SHIT!!!" And I laugh my ass off.

Sliders would be my first purchase if I were you. Get some that stick out a bit and you're safe!

Any one ever dealt with sagging power lines to their house? I can't even have a UPS truck come up my driveway because they will snag the tel/comm/and electric lines which only stand about 10' off the pavement. I have yet to call the power company (national grid) as I am sure they are dealing with a tornado of service calls right now - but is this something I could have them tighten or do I just need to live with it?

What are they attached to, the house? That seems like a fairly long span for those wires and also a lot of wires heading to the house! I've never had to deal with that, I'm just curious

Call NGRID. Do not try to mess with them yourself. They should be able to take up the slack for you. Worst case they put in an intermediate wood pole. That's likely a clearance violation per NESC code when a vehicle is under it.

My cable lines were worst then that when I moved into my house. When comcast came to hook up the cable I asked him if he could tighten them up . He had it done in no time. I'd call your electric company . They should come right out.

They attach to the stanchion on the roof then head down to the meter and telephone box. The wire on the right is electric, and the two on the left are cable and telephone.

I am definitely planning on calling NGRID to get the electric line tightened up but was seeing if anyone else has gone through something like this before.

They sag more when they heat up under heavy load. Usually they actually sag more under max operating temp than from ice. However, ice still results in higher loads on the cable and supporting structures.

That's a real nice piece. I like that it looks like the OEM piece too.

Sliders would be nice, I haven't really looked into them yet as I want to see how the frame rust debacle turns out before I open myself up for denial due to frame mods but if I got a set I'd go for bolt on with a kickout.
