Jerez, did you install the USB plug? From what year did you get the part, or was it OEM on a 2008?

Sorry, I may be missing something... but everyone I talked to said the USB would not work, only charge, when going 2012 -> 2013 touchscreen.

    Hi Everyone -
I have a 2012 DCLB Sport with the standard radio. I want to upgrade to the 2013 Touchscreen. Can someone confirm this list of what I need, if I have the end of the thread read properly?

2013 Headunit (Any suggestions on where to acquire?)

Wiring parts for Steering Wheel Controls, Bluetooth mic and Antenna:
    PT546-00120-CH
    PT546-00120-AD
Or I can order this instead:
    http://mytoyotapartsstore.com/parts...make=Toyota&action=oePartSearch&siteid=217963

Camera relocation to head unit display:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-Toyota...r_View_Monitors_Cams_Kits&hash=item2583c7e9f0
Does this work for a 2012? Site says 2013. Also, is this auto-activated when shifting into reverse, or is it a manual switch?

With all of above, everything would pretty much be plug and play. Correct?

And for the last question, I was really hoping to get HD radio, but that would be a 2014 HU? Or a 2013 Entune, or something else?

    Thanks!

All I needed was the following in my 2012 and as far as the cable for the relocation of display to radio as soon as your vehicle is in reverse it will come on. I used the same cable above you are referring to for mine as well.

I'm trying to install a USB port on my 2013 HU. I found a wiring diagram for E16 but it doesn't differentiate the #2 &#3 wire. In order for me to splice it into a USB cable, I need to know which data signal is + and which is -. Any help would be appreciated..... btw, I have the plug that comes out of there. Splicing it into a USB extension cable.

Try this mod. Did this on a 2014 HU. Works perfect.

So attached picture shows the plug that goes in E16 stripped and ready to mate to the USB plug. Anyone know what the brown and purple are? I know they're the data wires but which is+ and - ?

So I did brown = data + and purple = data -. Played music from my USB drive so I'm guessing it's wired correctly.

I have a 2012 Tacoma with a stock radio. Non touchscreen non JBL. Can I get this 2014 navigation unit to work? Everything matches up with the exception of the 2 plugs on the left (blue plug and 20 pin) and antenna? The 2014 unit has a 28 pin? connection that my 20 pin 2012 wont fit. It looks like the blue plug is for the shark fin? It doesn't fit the 2014 unit (too large) but it looks like if I cut away at the plastic I can get it to work. Can I get some kind of adapter? I know they make em for the antenna. Any help would be appreciated. THANKS

Jerez, you are a braver man than I will ever be. I have an '09 and would love to have a newer model OEM radio in there, but the cutting... :(

Edit: Wonder if buying these pieces would help with gap appearances, but the cutting that has to be done behind the radio I guess there's no getting around.

EDIT2: got to page 9 where I saw the surround is in the $200 range
