    not yet....
So I pulled into the garage at my workplace this morning and the antennae on my new 14DCLB was ticking off of the warning signs indicating 6'8" clearance. It occurred to me that maybe a lift is not a good idea.

This got me thinking.....(for the record, I realize you can shorten the antennae and have plenty of room to lift a Taco and still fit in a garage). TW is full of awesome ideas, especially vehicle mods, but I wonder if anyone has done something they regret? Anybody out there wish they could take something back?

Agreed. If I didnt go on this site. I would have paid off my 2012 prerunner and had a savings account and would have been a happy man. Instead I found this site. I lifted my prerunner got rims and tires and a lot of other stuff. Then decided the prerunner wasnt enough then I got a 2014 4x4 and went crazy on it.

Yup... Pretty much the same thing. I was within 1 1/2 years of paying mine off then fucking TW showed up on my computer somehow.

New loaded truck and I don't even begin to know how many thousands of dollars spent. For the record I don't really want to know.

Nope, just took delivery on 14 access cab and last two days ordered mods that I want. Mainly bed stuff and small trinkets. Got a Sport 4x4 with navigation so all expensive options were ordering truck imo. Not getting into performance mods with Tacoma as I have car that is already done and for the most part taught me expenses I care not to do again. All good for now !!!

Sounds like you need to do the lift the roof of the parking garage mod. If there is one thing I hate, it's workplace discrimination.

How about buying my damn taco. Tacomas never even crossed my mind until last spring. I grew up a Ford guy and have had nothing but Fords. 93 Bronco, 94 F-150 2004 Exploder & 2005 Ranger. I would have had my Ranger paid off by now and would have had a 4" lift tires, cvt, front & rear bumpers and what ever engine mods I could do since fords 4.0L was a gutless piece of shit.

    Then I found Tacoma World.....

While helping a buddy figure out a way to store gear in his 05 AC TRD Sport Tacomaworld showed up and we found some good ideas. But I was hooked. I started trying to morph some ideas to the Ranger. But to get a 4" lift for an 05 4x4 Ranger, there was 1 option and it was 3,200 plus another 600 to replace front drive-shaft (Ford used some weak piece of shit go figure). So I decided that I needed a Taco because I fell in love with compact pickups and it makes it much easier to get to my hunting grounds. So I now have an 06 DCSB SR5 that is stock (for now) which accompanies a car payment and several more years until it is paid off. I spend every waking hour on this damn site and as soon as my contract job converts to full-time (2-4 months away) the rest of my money will be going to MODS.

EDIT: Though I guess I really do not regret it because lets face it, Rangers fucking suck compared to Tacomas.:D

So true. My wife spends twice as much as I do on the truck on hair, makeup, shoes, boots, and handbags.

The first thing that came to my mind was moderators not modifications LOL

There are some members around that think they are moderators
These same members PM members and campaign those members to put members on their ignore list in a pitiful attempt to quell freedom of speech in Tacoma World

    More to the point

The 2.5" spacer lift was going great until I had too much fun and overextended my right front shock and pulled the guts out of it

Now I have 5100s all around and have no worries

Bad mods give experience that leads to good mods and we all can learn from other members mistakes and save time and money so it all works out.
