For now It'll just have all of the switches when they come in. Right now I only have fogs, but hopefully rock lights and bed lights will be done soon.....

 

I have to wire my jumpers in the dash (no faceplate). I am not looking forward to it.

 

That's going to suck haha the only wiring I'll have to do in the truck is soldering a wire from my dash lights to one of those wires. The rest I'll be able to do in my room at my leisure, so all I'll have to do is plug stuff in as I go.

 

NJ State inspection, make an appointment and wait 30 minutes.

My inspection is 2 years over due and I need to get er done

 

Can any certified mechanic do it at a local garage, or does NJ have specific places to go? Never seen people wait in line for inspection.

couldn't tell,they told me to wait in the yellow box. They did say anything about the tint either.

The state have their own facilities which are free and selected private garages but you have to pay. State facility's are a big long garage you drive trough, so they line you up and run them thought.

 

Huh. So do you just sit in your truck while they do it? How long does it take, and what all do they check? Sorry for all the questions. Just curious.

They have you get out and wait at a waiting area by the door, all they check for now is emissions. I remember through that same inspection station when I a kid with my dad and had you sit in the car and they would check everything.

 

I can't imagine that would be good, but then again I've mixed some pretty strange things together that came out pretty well....

Well PA sucks. Everything gets checked. I just had mine done last month. Took over 2 hours. And that's without needing anything. Brake pads low or whatever, they will charge you to replace, or fail you. If you fail and come back after you change whatever was bad, then you pay for inspection again and sit and wait again while they check it all over.

 

You have 10 days to get re-inspected before you have to pay again. If they are charging you again within this window find another inspection shop.
