Damn that sucks. I take it easy with my bikes on my rack when going off road I've hit a rim before slowly but no damage. Can really romp the dirt roads or offroad hard with them back there.
I nap all the damn time. If my daughter takes a nap boom I'm out too. :D

Yeah that's easy to do. I did a road trip with 3 very expensive bikes. 1 my buddies carbon frame race bike so I got use to slowing down when it got rough.

When I used to work at a bike shop, every now and then we'd get a bike in the shop that was on top of the roof rack when the customer drove in to the garage. lol

I've hit my bike on so many different things. Mostly drive thru poles and low hanging tree limbs

Of course I blow all my money on the supercharger and a 1st gen with a bad head gasket pops up on the local craigslist for $800. It's funny how that always happens.

Post up another supercharger deal if you find one.

I figure if I'm going to buy a used motor with 50,000 miles, there isn't going to be a better time.

Yeah it's running great. No issues so far and the charger is so nice to have. Really makes driving my 4runner fun to drive again and my commute isn't as annoying.

When are you picking up the motor? I think 8sm had a supercharger for pretty cheap a while back. I'd check in with him.

I know you've had engine issues, but why not wait till it finally dies? How is your compression and any leaking? You should be good after the last head replacement.

With me going off to college in a couple months, life is going to go by very quickly. While I have the time and the cash, I just want to get it over with once and for all and be able to not worry about.

I thought I would have been good for head gaskets the time before last! But those only lasted 14,000 miles and these head gaskets on the car now were installed by the same people! Scary!
