    1. Very cool!
    2. If you disconnect the rear shock and lift the truck the same way then measure, you'll determine for sure if the shock is the limit or the leafs are.

What they do is extend the head of the centre pin out far enough so that if later on you need to use axle shims to deal with a driveline vibration you can just loosen the U bolts and slide in a shim and the centre pin will still extend out below the shim to positively register in the axle

Having the collars on has no detrimental effect if you don't need shims later

    It's a no brainer

Nothing transfers over but depending on what vendor your Dakars come from you may need to get bushings for them

Maybe I missed it in one of the other pages but can anyone tell me what exactly is prevented by the diff drop with this set up. Ive found that using it can prevent the fluids from moving to all the parts in the diff and that it could catch a rock. but as far as I know the only thing it fixes is the "CV boot" gets worn out a little faster. Is this it? is it hard to fix this?

This will tell you right away. Unbolt the shocks at the bottom and see how much more the packs droop out.

OME complete kit with dakars, LR UCAs, Seat covers, weathertechs, anytime foglight mod, ABS kill switch, locker anytime mod, powered sub, halos, leer topper, aux/ipod hookup.
I just ordered my kit 2 weeks ago through Headstrong Off-road, I highly recommend them, there customer service is outstanding. I got the OME kit and LR UCAs, not only was it the cheapest I could find, it was less than a week between the time I ordered and had the kit installed on my truck.

Not too much is prevented or gained with the diff drop in the Gen 2. It worked great in the Gen 1s, but Toyota changed the way the front diff was mounted in the Gen 2 and it has much less effect on the CV angles, and the downside is that it ends up exposing the front diff to impact unless you've covered the area with a robust skid plate.

    This can happen: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/118545-remove-differential-drop-your-05-tacoma.html

Just to confirm, that bar comes off for installation right? I just opened up my boxes for the rear shocks and saw those bars on each one
