Installing my NAV from FLTrucks this evening, and am curious about some of the extra plugs on the back of the NAV unit. My truck is an SR with Convenience pkg (steering wheel audio controls) base radio, no camera. I show the GPS antenna plugged in, and not sure what the other plugs are for. I want to add an OEM camera at some point in the future too, so want to make sure I plug everything in the head unit before I button up my dash. I'm guessing there is a plug for XM module, XM antenna, and the camera? Anyone know if this correct and which is which?

Perhaps the below links will help. It was posted awhile back by FLTrucks. It should all be plug PNP so I'm assuming whatever is left over will be for your camera. Hope this helps.

I just completed this on my 2013 DCSB. Thanks to all who posted about this and who posted regarding the install. I had a non-nav touchscreen in my truck and this was a simple plug and play.

    Well worth it.

    Best,
    Matt

Thanks, I think that helps. I aost have to assume that plugs 10-11 have the camera wires in them somewhere. My guess is your information is correct based on what functions I had with the old
Vs new head units. I'm getting the XM module later this week, so I'll confirm what plugs get used for that. Hopefully at some
Point I'll be able to find an OEM '14 backup camera and can add it to see if it works.

Everything listed, save for the last 2 I'm not sure of, is correct. I have an XM unit on my radio

I still find my gps is off about 30 - 50 feet. I make the calibration adjustments and a block later down the road it's off again.

I have a similar issue. It is a little annoying but not too bad. I notice it when crossing intersections the map is lagging a little behind.

Has anyone obtained a map update yes? My map data is from 2103 and there has been a major highway upgrade which isn't on the map. I seem to be driving on an open field for part of my trip to work. :)

My dealer told me it's around $160 for a map update. The current PN for the map card is 86271-OE181. This is the same PN I received from FLTrucks for my Nav unit. I don't think there has been anything newer released from Toyota at this point. Dealer have me this PN last Saturday 3/01. Hope this helps.

I just installed mine on my 2013 from FL trucks and everything works great. Do you know how to get the voice recognition to work? Is there a way to add the button to the steering wheel?

Get a vin from an internet dealer who puts their truck details on their site (including VIN of course) for all to see.

Just installed on my 2014. Upgraded from Entune Audio Plus. Purchased my navigation unit from FLTrucks. Everything is working great. Thanks very much for the detailed instructions here! I am not mechanical, yet I got it installed in about an hour with no problems. Very happy! :)
