There are good instructional videos on the EGCS site.too. I can barely feel mine and only sometimes(3,400 miles on truck), so when it gets more noticeable I'll do mine too.

Hey everyone. I've spent hours reading through pages of responses to this subject and there's one thing that I didn't see an answer to. Considering the fact that I own an '08 Tacoma Prerunner with an Icon 2.5" lift, 1.75" spacers and 285/70/17 Nitto Grapplers, wouldn't that eliminate the 4x4 responses from the equation (in my case)? My assumption is that it's the wheel bearing, but I'm looking for some feedback before I go tearing stuff apart. What do you all think?

The reason that isn't answered in this thread is because Prerunners don't have front differentials. You cannot possibly have this problem. I would search around for wheel bearing issue sounds/symptoms and see if that matches what you have going on.

Lift up the truck at either the side and slowly spin the wheel. You will feel if you have a bearing issue. It may grind a bit or feel a little "gritty". Also you can easily pull out the speed sensor from the hub. It may have some grit from a worn bearing.

Your answer was fashioned in a manner much more polite than I would have fashioned it.

Well, I changed the fluid to mobil 1 75-90 synthetic and it took 99% of the vibration away. Only does it very slightly at 35-40 mph. And even then its hardly noticeable. I think my diff fluid was a bit low and it was pretty dirty. Magnet had some gunk on it so cleaned everything up and good to go. Feels much smoother now. I can live with it now because it is not even close to as bad as it was. Im guessing that the fluid being a bit low added to the slop and vibe. who knows, just glad it worked out.

Doing the install today. Taking pics and will report after a test drive  anybody have specific shots they want to see? I havn't read through all 86 pages so I dont know what's been posted...

My vibe isnt too serious, but it is there at 28-35 mph and definitely goes away when 4wd is engaged.

Also can anyone comment on the depth to drive in the bushing? I'm guessing its going to be self explainatory when I get in there but just curious if there was a tip to know when your in the right depth... thanks

The answer is in those 86 pages, lots of pics there already. Soon to be 87 pages. Just read through them like many others have. There are videos as well.

I noticed on the video he drove the bushing in further than the carrier and on the instructions it is flush with the carrier. ???
