    There is nothing to tighten besides the bolts that hold the pulleys down and they shouldn't be loose. At 80k of swamp driving my bet is you have a bad pulley and the tension-er is fine. Ill be messing with my truck this weekend if you want me to check it out? You should be able to swap everything (but the tension'er) in 20-40 minutes with beer breaks. I actually have some good OE pulleys as well. One of mine went bad so I swapped them all for sealed, cleaned up the old ones, and put them in my truck for trail spares.

    I am gonna order all new pulleys and a new serpentine belt... I felt under mine and I can tell it is cracked and dried out just by touch. The pulleys have dried mud on the inside portion of them, so I am sure the bearings are shot. Rather surprised that my alternator isn't freaking out... it also has quite a bit of dried mud all over it. This is the price I pay for fun in wharton. :D


    I am kinda regretting playing in that clay now... just pulled off my skid plate (breaking two bolts in the process) to find about 50+ pounds of the shit caked everywhere... I had to take a claw hammer and scoop it off my skid and put it all into a trashbag so I didn't make a mess of the parking lot. The rest I have to let just dry up and fall off... a pressure washer won't have much of an impact on this stuff... so driving without a skid for a bit.

    LOL...any issues with part number let us know. I have them and I know Scott does somewhere. It was a PITA to find the part number for just the pulley for the tensioner.

    I wasn't gonna replace the tensioner pulley because I read it's a PITA? Was just gonna go with the idlers... then swear up and down when it didn't fix it. Couldn't find any write up on how to remove the engine fan/housing though... is that pretty straight forward?

    Edit: Apparently you don't have to do the entire tensioner assembly, you can just do the pulley part... I guess I better get that too.

    Couldn't find it... but I got distracted and did find your thread about AFE filters... damnit...

    Edit: ordered all except the tensioner, I will let you know once they come in boyd if you are willing to gimme some minor help, I shall bring you a 12 pack of the beer of your choice. :D
