It took me TWO times of smacking my face into the windshield (both as a passenger) to learn that trick!

I'm still purdy... just don't rememb-- squirrel!!

Dealer has to disengage. Setting will be saved after the battery is disconnected.

Mine was hesitant until I showed him the owners manual which states it's an optional accessory.

The driver's and passenger's settings can be done, and are separate options.

Make sure to ask for both, if you want them.

Take an old dvd case, and trace the outline of the buckle onto the plastic. You could use an exacto knife to cut it out, but I used a dremel to cut out the shape and smooth it up. Works great, and just takes a little time.

Are you sure? I've looked thru a few different threads on this because I only want to turn off the driver side and was starting to just accept my fate that I have to listen to that damn thing all the time. I always buckle up, just not until I get out on a straight stretch of road. I frequently have passengers that don't like to buckle up at all and like to let the buzzer annoy them into submission.

I can't figure out how to turn my driver side on, and the described procedure does not turn my passenger side off.

You can unplug the connector at the buckle to "Fool" the truck into thinking the buckle is always buckled so no more ding or seat belt light

(2014 DC) For driver's side you can slip the switch assy from the buckle and remove the spring from the switch that is pressed by the latch tongue. Then replace the switch assy. The switch falls to "closed" so it sees the buckle as latched. Easily reversible, allows the belt to operate normally when you want it to, and doesn't trigger buzzer, warning lights or impact air bag operation. Don't know about the Pass side. Tough due to the seat switch for the airbag activation. Good luck.

Disclaimer: always wear your seat belt!
