    Actually they did reply back, I got caught up with my studies and tbh, forgot about the thread until I got an email from the forum. I dug up the email, here it is. As per their own words, it is safe to use. After a year's worth of use, I can still see through my windshield perfectly fine, I'm still alive and the world is in fact, still turning.

    We apologize for the delay in response! Yes, you can typically use the heavy duty cleaner & Polish on heavy duty glass.

    It is best to keep in mind that different glass is manufactured to different strengths depending on its function. If this is your concern, since you addressed this in your email, you may wish to use this on non-heat tempered surfaces only to remove severe build up to avoid any chance for micro scratching from overuse.

    We have an awesome Glass Cleaner in an aerosol you may want to check out J

    I have no idea why people try and use products clearly not meant for use on a automobile.

    I wouldn't use it on anything. :D

    Windex contains ammonia and is not good for glass or mirrors. It literally eats them. :cool:

    I'm a pro so WTF do I know anyway. I'm only the third generation to follow my families footsteps and we have only been working with glass for over a century :goingcrazy:

    Just an FYI though - 1/8" over 1/8" annealed windshield's ain't heavy duty glass...:laugh:.....they aren't even close to HD glass.

    Use it all over your truck for all I care - you'll just help support my industry. Heck use it on your paint and see what happens there.

    Your argument isn't with me since I've already posted numerous times from the manufacturer stating it was okay to use. You can pull your thing out and start whipping it around all you want, take it up with the manufacturer. I'll be using this product stated safe to use by the manufacturer on my windows. If you have any issue with it not being congruent with your own opinion that's not my problem either.

    Was reading my TW front page and saw this one pop up, I cant believe after a year you guys are still measuring your uhm... "wiper blades" over this. It did give me a good chuckle though, which was much needed on a Monday morning.

    I did learn however that I need to apply oven cleaner with steel wool and wipe down with sandpaper after I am done :crapstorm:

    Whatever happened to just using newspaper and invisible glass and common sense. I always went by a friends saying that "if it lives under your kitchen sink it should never touch a car."

    I am aware of the ammonia free.

    Typical Windex is junk IMO. Anything that eats mirrors and says it is safe for use on mirrors makes me LMAO.

    My argument is with no one. You clearly posted the company said it was for use on HD glass. Windshields are not HD glass.

    Hey while you are out there with the Bon Ami, it works great for raised white letters , BFGs of course, (without the bleach!). Good stuff, very gentle. Never tried on glass, though. I usually put a clean rag on the windshield, pull the trigger on the windshield sprayer and wipe vigorously.
