Are the spring rates the same on the front of the 07-09 V-6?

    TRD O/R = Progressive Coils

TRD O/R Coils are noticeably stiffer than SR5 and TRD Sport Coils.

^^^^how do you know the TRD sport doesn't have progressive rate coils? I thought I saw somewhere that the sport has progressive rate coils.

I am pretty sure that TRD O/R, and TRD Sport's have progressive rate coils. Due to the fact that the TRD Sport Pre-runner, should come factory with "Progressive Rate coils". Just my Thoughts..

Are they both the same springs though?

Does the off-road sit a little higher than the sport with the different suspension tunning?

Call your local toyota dealer... and ask for a part number for the TRD Offroad coil springs and the TRD Sport coil springs.

The part numbers will either be the same or different.

If they are different - ask the person on the phone what the difference is and ask them what the spring rates are.

(They'll probably be clueless - but it'd be fun to ask)

You could also try searching instead of yelling....?....

How does one even find a thread from 2008 that's under the wrong topic and doesn't even have the answers in it that you would use as a search topic?

Thanks for the input gents. I actually happened to read all of those threads prior and didn't get a direct answer. I'll assume TRD Sport coils are aound 540#/in. And folks have suggested that the ride would suck with them preloaded in 5100's so I'll opt for the 884's on the OME shocks.

I guess I was a little frantic after reading those other threads and not feeling confident in an answer. And probably just had a soda, caffine and sugar affect me in a big way.

    Party on.
