Hey all. So my dad should be released tomorrow. He's off pain meds and it only hurts when he coughs (obviously it hurts when he moves a lot too). His lung healed and his ribs will have to heal on their own. Thanks for the thoughts sent his way. It was scary to see my dad in ICU with tubes everywhere (I vomited when I saw him) but I'm glad he is ok now!

 

That's great to hear. I'm glad he's going home - his healing-up will accelerate there.

Go drop a few bucks at lowes to get their crappy Kobalt sockets. When they break from putting them on an impact wrench, you take it back for a new one for free.

I was thinkin about hitting up Harbor Freight and grabbing a 18" breaker bar and callin it good. Nothin like lifetime warranties at HF.

 

I got my breaker bars at schmucks/oreillys then made my own cheater bars for them. The breaker bars are supposed to have the lifetime warranty as well, and my cheater bars were made to go over more of the breaker bar and still have a nice long handle. I used it on my last car to change the belt, and I didn't have to really crank hard on the tensioner, just a little pressure at the top end.

 

those cheater bars are nice. I' need to buy myself more tools
