Anywone have any recomendations on how to mount the licences plate

If you have a winch, I've seen adapters for roller fairleads to mount the plate there, and I've heard about, but haven't seen, adapters for a hawse.

That said, mine is currently ziptied just above the fairlead. I really should come up with something myself.

When people live where they "have to" mount the plate they typically just drill and tap the mounting holes into the bumper, 1/4-20 thread works just fine.

 

I used (4) rear earth magnets on the back of my license plate. Pop it on the front below the fairlead when on the road, then take it off when wheeling so I don't lose it or smash it up.

I used industrial velcro to hold mine on since day 1 and its still there.

Tyler, were you in Ocotillo Wells this past weekend? i couldve sworn i saw your truck.. I pulled up next to your truck in a little 2 seat buggy facing the mudslide area just watching the dirt bikes have at it.. wasnt sure if it was you. lol

i didnt take any videos.. and yes it must have been you because of the big stickers on the side of your truck. I was in a Joyner with my fiance to the right of your truck...our friend was on a little dirt bike going up the hills.. then he went to someone in the group and asked him if he had his pinks.. he was messing with the same guy throughout the weekend.. haha.. circled the tacoma camp sight with a rzr and then his f150 lol.. Sunday he was going to roll up with a jeep power wheel haha

 

Oh, ok, I remember the guy, he was asking Jerry to race the race truck for pinks.

 

I did the same but tapped with 1/4 28 and used loc tite, but i love that magnet idea! i've got a few that would hold a sledge to the bumper, might try those some day!
