yeah i got my hours cut at work tomorrow so im going to go in anyways and working on building me a rear bumper. im shooting for something like this Im going to use 3x6 for the main, and then 3x3 for the sides, and hopefully add a hidden hitch and cut out for the license plate.

plus all the material is free so if i dont like it ill sell it and then buy a CBI :]

 

Sounds like a solid start just take your time with it.

Also word of advice by no means attach your license plate to an HC bumper unless the area is big enough to enclose it, at which point it won't be HC. Relocate it to the tailgate and just use the bumper for its main purpose. I learned that the hard way

 

Yeah the plate is like 6 1/4" tall and my tube is 3x6 figured I might be able to stuff it on there. But im guessing it will get ripped off?

 

Yup or bent. Bolt it into your tailgate and forget about it haha

No, I still have it. Chris said he wanted it so if he doesn't get it this weekend it will still be available.

I still have:
t-case, rear shocks, bed, diff, cv's, diff, tires, topper and uca's for sale.

Uca's, rear drive shaft and rear bumper are spoken for but if anything falls through I'll put an updated list up here.

If you guys want anything shoot me and offer, you'd be surprised how low I will go on the parts.

i know but its not HC. im in that thread trying to get him to make a bumper with bedside protection, or cut bedsides

 

Haha just noticed you posted in there 2 mins before I posted that. Looks like a nice bumper, it said something about side protection but still being designed.

 

yeah hopefully he adds something. CBI is the only one who offers an HC rear for the 1st gens and elite was the only other one to offer bedside protection but elite isnt selling anymore right now.

but hes getting a group buy together on the DIY rear kits and im going to get one even if it doesnt had bedside protection or cut bedsides

You can always buy a 2nd gen so you can get a cool bumper.
