Yeah, I was typing from my phone last night. Damn autocorrect. I saw it was mispelled, but on the mobile version, I couldn't find a link to edit what I typed. I wonder if the mods know about that?

So here's the pics of my cooler installed on my truck. Nothing fancy, just bent the top two brackets in a vise with a hammer to get them that shape and then installed. I opted to move the driver side horn over to the driver side so that I could use that mount hole. Doesn't have to be done, but it made it easier for me. Only got pics from above and through the grill bc there is not way in hell I'm pulling that grill off again. Already broke two clips. One more with justify me having to buy some.

Yeah In bypassed the radiator. Hoses are are routed from the cooler through the ac line hole to thenleftnof the condensor and down to the trans lines under the alternator. I went slow and didn't lose a drop of tranny fluid. Drained it in a small container andnpojred backed at the top.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Do you have a trans temp gauge? There was a guy on here that monitored his temps with an aux cooler (TRD I believe) and still was able to overheat his trans if he wanted:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1s...r-how-fast-your-auto-tranny-can-overheat.html

:notsure: Im still not sure if Im going to bypass or not...

    Also:

And before we have a discussion on running through or bypassing, been done before:

Yeah, I saw those threads before installing mine. I ran an external cooler bypasing the trans on my old 1999 Prerunner and it never gave me an issues the whole time I owned it.

I wanted to do the temp gauge, but I don't like modding the interior of my trucks, so I couldn't find a way to put a gauge in it without making it look dumb. Also, I know the cooler works, so I don't need to monitor it while driving. Seems like overkill.

I'm probably just going to run it in series to increase capacity. The dreaded pink milk shake isn't really an issue with these trucks as it was with the 4runner and that'd be the only reason to eliminate the stock trans cooler all together.
