ALoha Guys. Ive been on TW for a while, but just now found this forum. Im curisous to see if anyone has experience installing a pair of Allpro Sliders on a Taco. I ordered a set of the "Bolt On" sliders, but i believe i will still need to drill holes for the bottom rail. How hard is this? Im pretty competent, but have never had to drill into the frame? Any tips?

    Too long to list :D
Not too bad, just check your backstop first.. The sliders shouldn't have any holes in the wrong place, but you don't want to be drilling a hole and start to see brake fluid leaking out from behind the frame. So just look at the back side to make sure you have no brake lines or wiring on the other side of the hole.

Gents, thought I would give you a little insight to my ICON CDC setup:

So far...4 days with the CDC's, although not a definitive analysis.

Day 1: setting 4 (Basically a default factory setting comparable to the Non-CDC version): Firm and somewhat soft at the same time...I know...it's hard to describe, but it seemed a really good balance!

Day 2: setting 7. This was fairly firm although it didn't jar the truck body, just seemed quite stiff.

Day 3: setting "S" or "0", felt like a car really, creamy smooth, but almost felt like it needed to be a little stiffer. Prob a good setting to take the GF/Wife out to dinner...lol She can close her eyes and pretend she's in a Lexus...lol

Today: setting 2. Not too hard and not too soft. Kinda like Baby bears bed...haha I might keep it here...or go back to 4 in a day...not sure yet.

Not sure about going to the extreme end 8-10. 7 was fairly firm, so I can imagine it being a bit more firmer for my liking at the higher end of the scale.

In summation: there's probably way more settings than are really needed. They should have made it just S/M/H as the variances between each are somewhat minor until you start skipping a couple at a time.

I know several brands come with this type of adjuster just in case anyone was contemplating a CDC/adjustable valve type setup and spending the extra dime.

I'll be testing them Off-Road shortly (Peacock Flats) and will analyze the CDC settings in that environment to see if there's a sweet spot as well.:D

A lot of the high end coilovers added adjuster valves like that so that people could change the settings to what they wanted on the fast stuff, rather than DD situations, hence the broad range

    jelly though

I love my Fox shox, but I am really impressed with Ricks ICONs. But if I ever upgrade suspension, it will be TC +2" LT kit
I might upgrade the rear leaf before that then, If I can find something that will also work with an LT rear.
