Will be heading out tomorrow around 5-5:30 pm and just looking for a cool trail/fire road to drive for a good view while I'm over this way. anything in particular that is a must see? I was thinking about hitting shoe creek again on the way back but its a bit out of the way going back to hampton

Blocks are definitely going...I'm not a fan of half @ssing anything, so this was a hard sell to me at first.
I'm actually thinking that my next "upgrade" won't necessarily be too much of a lift but rather heavier duty stuff than I currently have on the truck...which, I'm assuming, will probably lift me a little higher just by default

Looking forward to meeting some of you guys in person to discuss all things lift related...and...well, to drink beer of course :D

Ok...and I swear this isn't going to take up tons of space in this thread...lol

Is there a REAL difference between OME and Bilstein lift kits from Toytec? I'm specifically looking at the ones that cost $754.99 and $649.99, respectively. They both seem to come with the same sort of components...and I'm wondering if the arguments for or against one or the other are like arguing which slip on exhaust is best for your motorcycle, if that makes sense

I think it's a ride preference difference between the two, some say the OME rides better on and off road, when I was looking for my suspension I was in the same boat and would have settled for the OME kit, but I sold my dirt bike and got the Icon set up :)

If you are gonna put it on yourself go ahead and pay to have them assembled and get the 5100 kit, I honestly don't think you are gonna tell a huge difference in the ride quality between the two, it's gonna be a little stiffer regardless.

Here are possible options, if you are wanting a full 3" of lift I'd say get the light racing UCA's headstrong has better prices and CS

So, with the Billy kit - would it be advisable to also get UCA's? If they're not necessary, I'd rather not spend the extra cash...but I also don't mind spending the $$$ if I'm going to do more harm than good without them

Dang - you responded before I could finish...lol

I'm not so much worried about the full 3" lift and, honestly, if I could get just a little higher than stock - I'd be happy. I won't go too crazy off road with this truck yet - just bought it last year and I'm still quite the little b*tch when it comes to the care of it...lol

No I wouldn't get UCA's unless I had to, get the lift first and see how how your alignment is.

Yea me too, my truck is/was new and I just said the hell with it and got an icon set up that I didn't need as I'm not gonna be wheeling this thing hard until it's paid off, but I liked the option of the shocks being rebuild able so that's why I got the icons.
