I brought the truck back and beat on that stupid bolt for a little more before giving up on it. Its seized in the bushing pretty well. I am letting it sit in some oil overnight hoping it will loosen up a bit and be able to be hit out. If not ill be heading to lowes for a cutting wheel for my angle grinder and bolt will go bye bye. So annoying one bolt can cause so much headache

His lower bolt on the rear strut is stuck. The nut came off, but the bolt wont come out. He got splooged by the blown shock's goo.

Also, I left my chairs at your house Matt. But just leave them leaning on the side of your house or something and I will grab them when we are in the area.

Yeah, I have them in my garage. I'll leave them behind the chair on my porch and you can grab them whenever.

We banged, pried, dremeled, everything. The bolt would spin, but it was just spinning the bushings with it. Best bet I think is to just cut the bolt and get a new one.

    Progress...
now i should be able to get my angle grinder and cut the bolt out. Its seized in the inner metal sleeve of the shock. At least this was the busted shock. So much for warranty return to bilstein  uploadfromtaptalk1397404199152.jpg

Were you able to find a nut that fit the reservoir mount bolt John? Sorry we had to leave it ziptied... :anonymous:

Damn. Umm. Next time mod met at my place. That way if I have to run a quick errand, we do not leave trucks in a dangerous state.

Done. Nothing would have been dangerous, we just had to zip tie the resi mount on one side cause icon didnt provide the nut for backside of the bolt.
And the pass side shock was toast anyway so the extra bit of roll in the turns felt normal
On a side note... would anyome want one rear billy 5100? Been used about 3 years and probably 30k miles on it. May be good for a backup for someone. If you want it come and get it. I also still have that 16" steelie if anyone wants that.

To piggy back on this, I have stock UCA's for sale. 25K miles, they are in pretty good shape. Comes with some hardware, not sure if it's everything needed. Also have the stock long bolts, but with no nuts.

Any recommendations of where to take the truck for an alignment and a road force wheel balance?
