Since I took off that bug deflector it took a fair amount of the paint on that front edge with it... I'm going to bed liner my hood. I think it'll look decent, not that I'm too concerned with that, but it will protect it better, and get rid of the glare off the back edge. Since it's a black truck it gets roasty in the warmer months, and since I have a few bare spots on my roof from branches, rocks, etc. I'm going to bed liner the roof white. There is one spot in particular that is starting to rust enough to warrant attention.

Anyway. Boring stuff. I'll have this done in the coming weeks. :D

It's crossed my mind. The hood seems pointless though because the chips go down to bare metal, and are flaking more paint off. Those oem bug deflectors wreak havoc on the leading edge of the hood. The roof I'm debating if I'll do anything at all. Did a quick drawing. Looks dumb white. Maybe grey?

Bed liner the whole thing flat black. That'd be badass... But not happening most likely!

Building an over roof rack for the truck. If the weather holds I might get it on the truck this afternoon.

May also be adding this to my fleet. (One truck so far)

Got rained out... Shouldn't have said anything... But it cleared up enough for me to cut a few more pieces and get some welding done. Yay! Maybe tomorrow morning I'll get it installed... Don't want to jinx it though. Tomorrow, knock on wood.

Finally got it test fitted. It fits. Racing daylight to prime and paint the underside of things I can't paint when it's on the truck. The rack is a little short... Doesn't extend forward quite as much as I had hoped. Oh well. Still looks pretty badass for a relatively inexpensive project. I plan to use it to get more metal, for bigger projects, build a new rack custom for the truck and then sell this one. After a couple of years.

Still need to add a couple pieces, but I ran out of argon so those'll have to wait for another day. Should be fine for a few days on the truck though.

Too bad the sun went down. Got 'er all bolted on. Wind noise isn't too different. Light rubble when a good cross wind hits, but otherwise not bad. Tomorrow in the daylight I'll take a better picture.

Big things going on at the ranch. Not really. Took the rack off, added rear window protection, and going to extend it 6" so it goes out over the roof. adding a few other small details I didn't get the last time. Pictures coming later!

Game plan for today (have a day off) finish welding rack. Paint rack. Mount rack. If all those are accomplished, remove front bumper. Add stinger, touch up paint (Doubtful that'll be achieved today, might wait till weekend). Sometime this week I'm doing the locker anytime mod. We'll see how that goes. Also need to relocate cheap led lights to behind grill.

Note to self: I think I'm over-confident with how proficient I think my time management skills are (none most likely). This will take me weeks. If not more.

Making some adjustments to the front bumper. Made it come up higher on the bottom, cut some metal for a better fit, and added some reinforcements. Just gotta do a couple welds, prime then paint it. Boom. Weekend goals done. Behind the grill light mount will have to wait...
