Yeah you will be fine. I'm double that and only had a problem that was just spark plugs (not a bug deal) and someone stole my cat and hit a sensor (not Toyotas fault) and a radiator like 100 or so not bad

Nice, that's just ridiculous people steal cat conv.s, but that's how it is I guess. I want to do my spark plugs in the summer and other maintenance. Maybe some rust prevention

And I think first gens are more reliable, but how is your ride at highway speeds and such?

Yeah we were mad at first but what do you do? It did ride no muffler for a bit :D the spark plugs went way to many miles so I should have changed them. Maintenance will get trucks along way. For the 1st vs 2nd gen reliability I don't know to much but the 1st had been great. I've driven an 07 sr5 4.0 L v6 a lot and mine they really do feel like the same truck in a lot of ways. 1st gens ride kinda how you expect a truck to while the 2nd gen is in between a car/truck ride. With overdrive in my truck and the 07 they both cruise at 85 easy mine just has a lot more wind noise. Personally I think they feel like the same truck but the second gen is more refined to drive now other aspects like towing and all idk.

Second gen motor is more revy HP feeling like 1st is lower rpm torque if that makes sense. A lot of people have different opinions but driving almost identical models that's some of what I've taken

Alright, was just wondering how they compare and that nails it! Was working the other day and saw an old 80s 4runner in the lot. At first I was like what pickup truck is that?! Then I saw toyota symbol and backseats and knew it was a badass, roofless 4runner

Yeah that's the basic comparison! Those old 4runners are so sweet I'd love to own one some day. Being able to take of the roof like would be ba!

The 4.0 is proving to be just as reliable as the 3.4. There's fleet trucks in here with 400k on it

That's good to know. I'm not surprised they are just as good I just don't know much about them.

Good to hear! It was fun work since it came out right and I had a drill press to use. I didn't really measure, just eyed it up and marked where I needed to drill, what year truck does he have? Stock grill?

Did you do a swap or the po and is there some difference between the grills I assume? And I'll have to show him the write up.

Yeah, my grille is different, I'll try and get a better day pic of it, but it has "honeycomb" on top and bottom with a solid plastic bar through middle with emblem. I bought it on some parts website and sold the chrome one

That's ok. Just bullshit. The one who decided to go back to the asshole. Well I went to talk to her dad, and I slipped out that she went back to him. Keep in mind what I told you about this guy earlier, but I didn't go into detail on what this phsyco did to her. He beat her car with a skateboard. She sent him to jail. After fucking with my heart for 4 months, he's out. Starts fucking with her car, slashes her best friends tires on like 3 different cars, and her grandmas car even got a tire slashed. Well I like her parents, and I slipped out that they were back together, and he blew up. He's already beat the kids ass once. Oh, not to mention there's a no contact order between them. Both can go to jail for even talking to each other. Anyway, she found out I talked to her dad, and blew up. Threatening me, calling me all kinds of shit, etc. Made me to be the bad guy, not the fact she fucked me over, and stabbed everyone she cares about in the back. Girls blow. Why we have to sucked in by their fineness is beyond me
