A modern solid axle toyota would be awesome!! I always wondered why they went to ifs anyways.. ride quality I guess.

Anyways, got some things done on the pickup today. Got tags on it and washed it but it didn't make much of a difference haha. Brake lights just needed new bulbs but when I put them in I noticed the brake light switch was sticking. I went to adjust it out and it was already maxed out so I siliconed a penny to the stopper on the pedal, worked like a charm :D

Also temp mounted my turn signals. Would like to do the blinker mod for tacomas and move them into the corner lights.

Annnnd I may or may not have brainstormed a little...... :spy:

Ride quality is the reason they went away from the solid axle, even though they still ride like a Toyota SA.

Haha I was just fucking around. The boggers are my neighbors... 44x19.50x15, big mother fuckers! I thought it would be funny to roll them up to the truck. I hate wide tires like that, looks goofy as hell.

Pulled the carb apart to do a little cleaning. Throttle response is amazing now!! Still need to do some idle speed adjusting.

Also undercoated the entire inside in hopes of making it a little quieter.

And my neighbor came over to check it out and already offered up the use of his welder and was talking about flat beds and exos :D

Sounds like your living in the right neighbor hood with great neighbors :D
Idk bout the bed idea though, thats one thing I really like on the earlier trucks is how they have that lip on the bed

Yeah I like the idea of keeping a full bodied truck so I wont be ditching the bed. I agree, I love the styling on these old things

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
Are you still looking for stock spring, coils, and front shocks? I have all three in my storage from when I replaced with Eibachs, billies, and DAKARS. The coils and springs are in good shape. The font shocks I wouldn't think are worth using but I still have them if you want them. Let me know and we can work out a price.

Thanks bud but I actually put a lift on another member's truck and he left his stock stuff with me. The only thing I need now are the factory U-bolt plates and some ubolts. I guess I should take that out of my sig now haha
