Before I started painting, I did a final fit of everything to make sure it was all good before it was painted and assembled for the last time. Also, throughout the entire build I test fit it once a week to make sure everything fit.

Did you angle the walls in on the sides. This is the problem I'm running into. I had to shave the walls I fiberglassed to like an inch so it wouldn't hit the headlight assembly. a8asyne4_b9a551bf803d25c8951c917f0768ee3747cde865.jpg.

I did angle the lip on the sides about 45 degrees. I ended up with about 1/4" - 1/2" gap between the sides and the headlight assembly. It's hard to tell in your picture, but it looks like there is little to no room between the side wall and the headlight assembly for the mesh to rest on the back side. Could be the angle that the picture was taken. :notsure:

Yours is looking good though man. I probably could have gone that route after my first attempt failed, but I'm from Chicago; we like our deep dish [IMG]

I hear ya! I like your deep dish better I think. But since I already have it this far I'll probably finish it this way and then do another one like yours.

Thats a great looking job man! It's too bad you couldn't make a mold of yours somehow, have them made in bulk, slap some mesh on, paint to match, and be done.
And LOL @ the first option on the poll.

Haha  thanks man. I didn't make a mold or anything of the sort because I wasn't sure if I would ever make any more. Woke up this morning to a few PMs so we will see what happens.
