    you blew some out back..you have never owned 5100 CO..i haven't blown mine. Mark hasnt..brady hasn't..pretty much no one..

    only that will happen up front with 5100s will happen to you too. The rubber lower mount bushings crap out and tear. just how it is with no heims.

    seems a waste of money too me. Be your 3rd set of throw away rears..so what..300-350 bucks blown?

    You can get some 8'' foxes, then just relocate them when you get new leafs. You can make em work with expos. Just like Mike.

    plus..dual compression settings on foxes now :cool:

    they mount different and are set in the geometery. Rear..isn't. Again..fronts don't blow..haven't seen any that do. rears tend too due to our shit mounting locations.

    Ben, you realize you can make a 8'' shock get just as much travel as 10''. All in how they are mounted. Why do you think mike changed his? and many others..

    honestly, our stock locations are horrible.

    ideal? maybe not. But totally do able.

    there is no correct length for the stock locations basicly.

    the longer you get, the bigger the bump stop you need and your net gain of travel is minimal. More droop? you bet. loose up travel though.

    Getting a shock to "modify to work" would be better yes. Cause you can mount it to have equal up and down travel and use the most out of the shock.

    reliability is a want for any rig. hence the reason i building mine with dana 60's cuz every now and then i want to do expo stuff and then the rest of the time drive over rocks the size of your truck and not break when im doing it.

    if you can just stay with 15's and keep running BFG's side wall helps tons and the KM2 is a great tire.

    Honestly you don't even need rear shocks to stay on the road. There are a few guys around here that don't run shocks on their rigs and DD them. Most roads are smooth enough that the springs themselves dampen well enough. Hell even with my soft LT springs and no shocks it took actual whoops to makes my rear end bouncy. I ran my leaking 5100's in the rear for about a year and never even noticed a difference in ride from leaking vs not leaking.

    no highway safe at all. I have done that. Works fine for stuff under 45mph on the smooth road and totally fine offroad on low speed. not high speeds.

    Ben will never do this. Hell..most should never do this.

    they seperate when air'd down and ran at moderate to high speeds. Guys that tried to crawl the First gen mtr style retreads had tires fall appart when they bitched about it they were told airing them down and trying to flex them will destroy them.
