Maybe down the road, possibly just for the driver side lean but maybe if I get a bumper…. :stirthepot:

Anyone ever add 1/4" top plate spacers to the eibach coils after adding some weight up front on a 1st gen ?

My concern is the ride becoming too jarring. But I've read from plenty folks adding the driver-side TPS to fix the taco lean. I'm kind of figuring it cant be too bad if I just do the same to the passenger side. I don't have a noticeable "taco-lean" anyway.

I know 2nd gens do this all the time, but more curious about the effects on a first gen with a little bit of weight up front.

So if I run Ebiach coils with each Bilsteins up front and I want to go the AAL route is 2" the way to go and do I have to replace the rear shocks?

You won't HAVE to replace the rear shocks, but I recommend that you do... Just depends on how much you plan to flex.

Don't plan to flex bit almost seems like I should just in case. Gunna be mostly pavement driving but when I move to NC I might flex it if I get on a hunting lease.
Is 2" the right way to go?

Yeah, go 2" add-a-leaf if you are dead set on going with an add-a-leaf. You won't get a full 2" out of it though.

If you can afford it I recommend a new leaf pack.

Can go the route I did and more than likely cheaper than the aal and build a set of leafs.. many have gone that route myself included a few times... I have a 7 leaf pack consisting of dodge dakot and chevy 1/2 ton leafs and it holds weight, rides and flexes extremely well... I have $60 in the whole rear setup and installed it myself.. Ill see if I can find the link on here to the thread for you

Well after five hours of sleep and two days finally got it installed, minus the diff drop bolt saving that for next weekend. Hopefully go into the tire shop on monday for an alignment and a set of 285/70r17 tires with wheels that have been sitting waiting for me.

    Here you go!

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/194386-tacoma-spring-refurbishing.html

You can do it, thing is, to do the aal youll be doing basically the same process as if you just re built your factory leafs.. that thread has a ton of info and is tested now for some time and ive done it on my trucj twice and probably half a dozen other members!

I really want to go 35s next but that will all depend if I can afford to regear at that time. Currently trying to start saving up for dual cases. The 4.10s aren't bad for daily driving but are definitely a little high for wheeling.
