I, like many of you guys here, smoke cigarettes. among having to find a place to smoke in public places and the smell of it on my clothes and truck, i am most worried bout my health. i recently heard of these things called electronic cigarettes aka ecigs. they are personal vaporizors that vaporize liquid nicotine. there is no odor. you can use it indoors. there are different flavors to get. they sell them at the mall but are overpriced. you can get online for about $30 and above for a starter kit depending on the model. they are not FDA approved yet though. i think its a good alternative to smoking real cigs. i don't know how safe ecigs are but has to be better than real cigs that contain over 4000+ chemical additives.

how is it worse? i can see the fact of the unknown seeing as its not FDA approved. but are you basing this on experience and facts or just assuming? there is an entire forum decaded to say otherwise. although they do talk about the side effects i cannot see it being as bad as a real cigarette. if you said it was "as" bad as a real cig i could understand but to say it's worse than a real cig?...sounds like assumption.

it seems like it would be safer because your not inhaling the smoke which contains most of the carcinogens

i agree. although i'm still saying its not completely safe, it has to be "safer" than real cigs.

I quit smoking over a year ago...I tried using those electronic E-cigs for about two weeks. They take a little edge off the craving...but are nothing compared to the real thing. I lasted about two weeks with them because I kept breaking one and then lost the charger and had to buy an all new set and this and that, and was already about $50 in...finally just said F it, and quit cold turkey. Sucked for about a week, haven't looked back since!
