dont get me wrong... i love my lift. but dont go with anything fancy when it comes to procomp. their coilovers are crap... i dont have enough experience with fabtech but i do like the look and stance they have. But all in all im super happy with my truck and where its at right now. eventually ill swap out my c/o's for a set of kings so i can get a little bit of ride quality back.

i have run 35's (heaviest on the market) id say get ready to regear. your gunna hate how sluggish ur truck will feel without it. thats why i run 33s now. ill regear completely once i have a solid axle up front.

Def things to consider. I was looking at 33s as well. I like the look of 35s but since my last post I've been seeing a lot of people talking about regearing with 35s.

For the Fabtech I've been seeing nothing bug good things about it. It will bit pricier but I'd rather have it be worth it.

pretty much any size tire over stock will sap power, esp if they're heavy offroad tires. people have even regeared for 33's

fabtec stuff isn't too great either, there's a reason both of them aren't really known in the shock market (excluding fabtec's high end line)

Their dirt logics are "mediocre" from what i have heard compared to King, Icon, and Fox. Ride will be stiff with fabtech and procomp unless you stick with your stock c/o's and use their top plate spacer and blocks....... or just open ur wallet and do it right the first time with the expensive but good stuff.

Go check out the 6" lifted thread and read up on Evenflow's build or Scarlet4x4 They have repared their db lift as much as possible to at least get mid travel numbers. if i keep my IFS ill probably just try to copy Evenflow's build.

    Too long to list :D
Both brands don't have good shocks, sink would get a basic kit and go for better coil overs when you can. As far as the design and strength of the drop bracket itself, and the overall function of the kit, I have heard better about Fabtech from friends who had experiences with both. But info remember right the procomp will sit just a tad higher?

As for 35's, not only will you want to re-gear, but you will be putting more stress on things like wheel bearings and unit bearings. So if you just drive it on the highway, maybe plan on replacing bearings every 40-60k? Where you would normally not have to touch them until after 120k on the low side. And if you off road then those unit bearings may go out a lot sooner. Just food for thought. I still think Phil's truck was the most badass truck ever when he had the 35's! It's still badass, was just badassier with the 35's :D

Yeah, I'm seeing BDS 6" lifts with 33s. It's looking pretty nice to be honest. I think 33s would be good with what I want to do.

Another vote for the RCD 4" drop bracket lift but with longer shocks. Can get 6" lift with more travel and without have a huge bro-dozer DB.

Fabtech's front crossmemeber will make your truck look like its higher from the front but doesn't protect the front axle as much as the large front and rear crossmembers that come with the procomp lift. Fabtech i believe you can go a little higher only because i believe you get slightly larger spindles. they are 2 different animals. but i agree that doing the basic lift is the best option. then when you have the funds do it right the first time.

and yeah i kinda miss my 35's... they were cool looking. but wayyyyy to heavy so i think i did the right thing.

if you look at my build page im running 33's now just gotta go to page 2 or 3 i dont remember. but im sitting 8" over stock now

Alright alright, ill unlurk myself. Too fricken busy to post on TW. Anyway x3 on the RCD 4.5". Ride is smoooothe compared to FABTECH(i drove my co-workers). But i must say, i'm itching for longer shocks.

Some guys been having rust issues with the spindles. Some of them been powder coating or rattle canning em. I just sprayed the top bare metal with clear, that's where most people have issues.

The beauty of the shell is that all that could be kept fairly secure.. When you like throw on those rears?? I'm all the way in Makakilo, but you could bring the rears down to my house on Sunday and leave um there.. Don't worry.. I already have a pair!! lol.. :D

Yeah, I saw. Today I was at Servco for my routine check up/oil change. I'm thinking right now I'll go with a 4" BDS (they've caught my eye in a big way at the moment) and I believe that will work fine with a set of 33s if I'm not mistaken. It will be cheaper in the long run until I get another vehicle.
