Just got a new 2014 quad cab Trd off road. I also have an 85 SR5 22re I got off my grandpa he bought it brand new in 85. Awesome truck. I have a couple noob questions.

When you guys say 5100's that's just referring to shocks right?? Or is that a certain brand as well? I am pretty sure my truck came stock with bilsteins, but don't know about 5100's. I'm trying to level my truck out so what's the most common way for me to level it out and it sit a bit higher?

Not sure if this picture will work... Phone is kind of retarded... Or I am :/

Referring to 5100's are Bilstein Adjustable shocks. I would probably say the most common way to level. You can use spacers to lift it level but the ride will be harsh and for a new truck, spend the 200 bucks and go with the Billies.

Your truck does have Bilsteins on it stock, but not the adjustables.

Yep, assuming you want to raise the front an inch or so.

You'll have to remove your old strut assembly, and transfer the stock spring from the stock shock to the 5100 (having set it to the lift you decide on). I get the impression you are not a mechanic, and you'll need one to do the spring swap.

My buddy has a huge shop with a car lift and everything so I would have him help me. I actually know a bunch about working on trucks and cars except when it comes to lifts I guess. I know nothing about suspension or shocks or anything... The only reason I know a decent amount is because I have my 85 and constantly working on it. It needs a new tranny and she will be new again haha.

Thanks for all the info. The more I look around though the more I want to get like a 2-3" lift...
