Calling all Virginians (Tidewater area)

I assume you are referring to the breather, not the cutting, but I think it can be done using a 1/8" NPT x 5/16" barbed hose adapter instead of the Camry Union. It will not thread in as far due to the taper, but they supposedly work good. I did mine a few weeks back.

I don't have any work to do on my truck. Just stopping by to meet people and provide labor if needed. I am good at electrical work (had a business repairing/ installing car audio for 6years) and do pretty good with mechanical stuff as well (did all the work on my truck myself except for the regear). I have some tools with me but jack and stands are in storage. I'll be there by 9.

Dog has Demodectic Mange.

When we took her in for what we thought were allergies, if the vet had done it's job and tested her skin rather than just give her a steroid shot she would have been fine.

The steroid shot lowered her immune system to a point where a local mite infestation was able to become generalized and attack her whole body, while the antibiotic cleared up the secondary infection making it look as if she was getting better.

Different doctor at the vet did a quick skin test and diagnosed her this morning. I'm furious with the vet, since the only proven cure for the problem once it becomes generalized is a medicine that causes brain bleeds, central nervous system problems, and blindness in herding breeds.

Instead we'll have to have her dipped in a medicine 8-20 times that is proven to be toxic and requires the dog not get wet for the duration of the treatments and if she gets wet and we touch it and get some of the chemical on us can be hazardous for humans.

 

Damn!! Are they at least comping the treatment? Which vet is it so I can avoid them?

 

Haven't approached this matter with them yet.

Honestly the rest of the veterinarians there are excellent and we've been taking dogs there for almost 30 years. It's this individual doctor not the whole hospital.

Ive hear this method works well with 2nd gens. It didnt work on my truck. Almost lost an arm and Burry almost lost a leg.

I guess mine is like a second gen :shrug: It's an FJ. The spring should have no more energy by the time the shock shaft clears the top hole so I dont see how it could do anything. Maybe if you straight drop the jack down? I could see a smooth jack being pretty crucial for it. They are just OEM springs so they are whimpy in comparison to most aftermarket ones. Were you doing it with OEM ones?? With the compressor on hand it may be safer to just pop the coil over out and do it that way...Guess we'll see!

At the dealership: 15k service, state inspection, and stabilty control ecu reprogram for the recall.

And they tried to sell me another lifted tacoma (new guy).

 

Frickin phone won't let me edit, but they have a lifted sport with chrome wheels sticker is $41500 including $7500 in lift, rims, and tires.

Want to meet at a gas station around i64 and highway 33? Is that close to you? google maps said it would take me 2 hours and 15 minutes to get there, so that would put me there around 7:45?
