I've been reading a lot about lift kits and upgrades, but I am happy with the height of my "stock" 2000 PreRunner. I'm approaching 90K miles and believe its time to start combing through the suspension.

I can't seem to find anything on replacing shocks / springs with OEM or similar to keep the height the same.

Does anyone have the specs for the STOCK bilstein suspension?

Any advice on upgrades (without adding lift) would be greatly appreciated.

Bilstein 4600 shocks are stock height and ride great.....I have them on the rear of my 2000 prerunner and love them

FYI, shocks do NOT affect height, just the ride. Worn out shocks could cause pre-mature failure of springs, however.

Why do you want to make any changes? 90k miles is nothing.

Good point. I've never owned a Tacoma before this one and have nothing to compare it to. The truck has an unknown history and I was poking around, getting an idea of wear items / things that could use some preventative attention. I don't have a pressing need to change anything, but was very curious about what the stock setup is.

I noticed that the front shocks are Toyota badged Bilsteins and the back set are the blue and yellow set. Thinking forward, I was curious if these parts are still in Bilstein's catalog or if they have been replaced by something else.

    I get your point though...
