My grandmother was a Romani Gypsy from Eastern Europe which makes me 1/4 Gipsy. And I was once a fetus.
I did inherit my father's accordion, which I'm attempting to learn how to play 80's alternative music on.

Ball joints can have play in them and not make any noise.

If a ball joint fails on the road and no one can hear it, does it actually make a sound?

    Yes... Haha

Mine might have not been caused by a ball joint failure, but it's not a quite noise landing on your frame going 25mph....

If bench testing clearance on a balljoint it will be audible if there is wear or clearance in the joint. I bench tested both of mine and threw them back in after checking for play (I know, I know how could I do such a thing?!...I'm a monster! I might as well of clubbed a baby seal while I was at it :) haha). IMO a lot of people are paranoid about the LBJ on Tacos and 3rd gen 4Runners. This is coming from a big proponent of OEM parts and PM maintenance (which includes checking for play in the LBJ). I would rather rock my tight fitting OEM joints for another 160k if possible than replace them with some new aftermarket crap just to say I replaced them I guess.

My rant is aimed at the guys out there who are sweating about their LBJ failing. If you are worried about them or curious of their condition just check them before you drop your hard earned money on something you don't need! Save it for important things, like whiskey, women and wine!

I built myself a new rear bumper.
Still needs a good paint job, but that will come after I am finished with the swing out tire carrier (still in the design process :D).
Please see the photos & thanks for looking!

Gonna disagree with you here. Busting a tie rod is a bad thing. It's not a difficult fix if one breaks, but it's bad in the fact that you can get effed up if it breaks at the wrong time. I was lucky mine broke on the trail at slow speed on essentially flat ground. Had it broken on the highway at 70mph I could have completely lost control and wrecked the truck, or someone else and it could have been fatal.

Sure my rig isn't light but I wasn't abusing it and it's not like the steering rack had already been through lots of abuse either. The rack was only 3 months old and was all new parts, not a reman unit. Still. stuff does break but shouldn't break under "normal" conditions. I think I had a defective ITR.

Something is wrong if your ITR is unthreading.

I guess I should copyright the name b4 it's used.
I'll give them a spin sometime.

There's a Romani hip hop group from Czech Republic called "Gipsy Cz".
They have a few songs that I like (for a middle-aged, middle class dude).

Complete OME kit w/ 881's and dakars. All-Pro Sliders, CB, HAM Radio and various other minor stuff.
Its hard to tell the final color by viewing the website but if you want a darkish green, I'd pick Toad. Troops looks alot like olive drab and the other two look "off" to me. Not sure if its got a bluish or yellowish tint to it.
