just a suggestion... Looks cool but not in my truck

 

Can't decied on a hc bumper tire carrier.... I know it's been talked about but I'm getting closer with me mod savings. There's not one that grabs my attention more than another. I was set on 4Xs till I came across a review that made me think it's made on the cheaper side with potential fail spots. As the price goes up with other company's I wanna make sure I make the right decision. I need to decied fast cuz even when I order it, it'll take a couple months to receive.

 

I like Pelfrey or Bruteforce. Nothing wrong with CBI either I'm just not a fan of their style

 

You narrow it down at all? I've never heard anything bad about 4x but I also haven't researched bumpers in 5 years. What's the gripe with them? Link?

Relentless if the wait wasn't so dam long whenever I get to buying a rear bumper its gonna have all the side protection Ant's has... And yea yea I know makes me look like I am copying him but a dual swing out is so much nicer in my eyes than a single swingout... Ckeene's issue was fixed though as far as I read... But not without alot of trash talk that probably tainted ATO/4x's image...

 

looks like most flaws have been address, but I guess time would tell if they were addressed right…. looks like the remaining issue is the design of the hidden hitch!

I would never buy a bumper with those pins. Nothing but trouble.

In all honesty I have never seen a better latch than the one coil used on mine. I've never had any issues and it makes some of the others look silly. I can open it one handed as well. No idea why these fabricators use half the crap they do. If a young kid can build his own that's superior in design and much simpler these shops got some work to do.

 

Yeah he had sent it back to 4x and it was fixed... But a hitch in a HC bumper is a joke IMO... Our trucks aren't workhorses and towing with them is a crude joke... Especially when your lifted with a softer suspension... Lessens the capacity or atleast makes the ride rougher the heavier the load... Anymore than 4k and youre pretty much on the bumpstops already.

2nd gens suck period/ the 05-07s do. so much work needed on my truck this is total bs
